I've warned for months that a @JetBlue-@SpiritAirlines merger would have led to fewer flights and higher fares.
@JusticeATR and @USDOT were right to stand up for consumers and fight against runaway airline consolidation.
This is a Biden win for flyers! https://t.co/lJFGS3ucv3
Spirit drives prices lower in every market it enters. That competitive pressure is the reason millions of Americans can afford to fly. Remove Spirit, and affordability goes with it. Restructuring must move forward.
Call to Action: https://t.co/gCyArlyfsN
Federal relief is not a handout. It is a loan to help the airline finish work already underway—the right call for 14,000 workers, nearly 2,000 pilots, their families, and the millions who rely on affordable air travel. https://t.co/aJNHeyIuZI
Scott is finally right about something - it is all about customers. Our Guests love low fares, especially our new Spirit First and Premium Economy options. Maybe that’s why United executives can’t stop yapping about us.
Encouraging all parents out there
Parenting is hard, & if you wanna be a good one, it’s really hard.
I had a day recently when I just sucked as a dad. Did everything wrong, said everything I shouldn’t
It’s hard, but encouraging us all-stay in it. Give yourself grace. Love them hard
Spirit executives have publicly stated their merger plans will “create incremental value for [Spirit pilots] and more opportunity.”
With no planned pay increases for five years, no widebodies, and slower upgrade to captain, we’re not seeing the “value” or “opportunity.”
