Dietrich Schindler says that secular Europeans are Moral Therapeutic Deists. Moral because they want to be good, therapeutic because if there is a God, he should make me comfortable, Deist because God may exist but he is not involved with my life. Sounds like most Christians!

What would cause anyone to kill? Anger. The only antidote to anger is helping people understand the love and grace that is freely given to them through us and through Jesus.
The gospel so assures us of God’s love that we are finally capable of admitting the worst about ourselves. In his love, based on Christ’s work, not ours, it is finally safe to do so.
