@PeterDiamandis This quote is unbelievably enlightening and true: “Manners aren’t really about the recipient; they’re about the kind of person you’re practicing being.”

And this next chart highlights just those PMI cycles that occurred during yield-curve inversions. It looks like there is a ways to go before the PMI will bottom, in both price and time, which suggests that earnings estimates will remain at risk throughout 2023. /END
@BillAckman It also provides the issuer with enormous flexibility to define earnings distribution based on effort, holding size, holding period etc. Rather than short term speculators focusing on the next Q earnings, incentives can be aligned to reward those that add most value long term.
@biancoresearch Interesting to see that the 10Y-2Y was last this inverted in the early 80s, the last time we fought - and ultimately beat inflation. Needless to say, at a high cost. Equities do not seem to have priced the scale of such a recession, E will likely fall off a Cliff in 2023.
@PeterZeihan@PeterZeihan love your last book and I get how globalisation going into reverse is inflationary but why are demographics not disinflationary given that demand will fall off a cliff?
@dan_pantera That should warrant a 30-40% sell off in equities from the high. Given we are down c 30% in real terms do you think we are close to the bottom or are they likely to overshoot?
@biancoresearch Real yields are positive across the entire curve when looking at TIPS. Don’t you think this is the metric they’ll eventually gravitate to as being above core PCE on the entire curve just isn’t realistic?
@HalBrands@opinion What a great - and terrifying - article. Could Washington force Kyiv to accept an element of annexation for peace or are they now fully fixated on a full retaliation and thus leave Putin with even fewer ‘least bad’ prospects?
