You attribute it to “outgrowing relationships” as I would contribute it to a much higher percentage of people getting pregnant out of wedlock and getting married just for that reason. You could also factor in no fault divorce. Many variables.

People are getting married older than ever now and divorce rates are higher than ever. I think there’s a correlation.

The church never said murder was ok. They did with the death penalty. So you’d have to say the church promoted an intrinsically evil act for centuries.
