@mzlrftv2 I do think it feels that way as Arteta’s systems are specifically designed to rely on the collective. At Palace the system was designed for him. But I think that is his final puzzle piece - allow forward flair and freedom

@GroggyGunner @thebottomcorna @SamWallaceTel I think the previous 5 seasons evidence that proposition. You clearly think that his recent season means he cannot be considered the best player. I don't think one weak season rules him out of that. We can agree to disagree. Rice, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber have a stronh case

@GroggyGunner @thebottomcorna @SamWallaceTel I think that is because you can’t write off a player who has performed consistently outstandingly for years. I don’t think the sample size is big enough to think otherwise. If, this time next year, we are having the same conversation, I get it.

@thebottomcorna Jesus because he is done at PL level. Gyok and Havertz give us different things not least because Havertz can play deeper. Gyok does something no one else in our squad.
