you wont have to try and cut in awkward spaces and rebuild it, when you could just easily spin that piece off, take it out old ABS drain system, remeasure and build it properly for new sink and easily re-attach it.

Why isn't it code/practice to have just the spin part, like from an ABS P-Trap, attached as soon as ABS enters a room for a sink? So when you replace your sink with a different size sink or the old and new drains don't line up,
