@razor908 There are no protections in place for officers who use tactical contact, even trained. It’s the same as blue lights. We immediately fall below the standard of a competent driver with no protection it’s a #mugsgame
@ProfBrianHoax @DonEsteban7878 @SPCK111 @Rich_Cooke1 I have never felt the need to whip anything out and wave it in the face of a member of the public. As long as it is a lawful instruction just do as your asked. Maybe cops should use less discretion when people don’t comply and start reporting them #freedomisnotfree
@Rich_Cooke1 I have discharged mine twice this year two shots each time. Not effective. Both persons very high on drugs both have been charged since for some Very serious offences. Better to have than not nowadays though! #stillconfidant
@PCPanda15 10 zebra pens from Asda, thermals, good gloves, big/little Larry from Nebo (good cheap torch), If your force allows beenies get a thinsulate one with police on it. Battery bank for phone, spare charger cable at work. Jump leads, fabreeze, a little box for your feelings.
@razor908 As long as peer intervention doesn’t become an excuse to abdicate supervisory responsibility. Skippers need to have a finger on the pulse of their team and sort out those who negatively affect performance of the unit.
@micheleblakemor@vernalscott They’re working on bringing that in but it won’t be used out of fear of being restricted in role. Will our mental health be judged as coppers or people? Restriction would negatively effect my earning capability. My pay doesn’t allow for this since we’ve been hammered for 10 years
@Turloughc@OxfordDiplomat What meaningful stats do we have for the reverse? Anecdotally I have seen a huge amount of control and coercion from F to M. How are we tackling the dark figure of M DA? there’s “Mankind” but I don’t see them conducting studies to the same level as female DA charities
