It’s quite sad how this incident has been captured by the “Two-Tier Policing” brigade. Operational incompetence? Yes. Anti-white Policing? Absolutely not.
I've seen the body worn. I never judge incidents unless I was there or have heard people who were.
But I'm going to judge this.
This is a serious breach of at least three established operational protocols. Basic day one training school stuff.
It's sloppiness, pure and simple.

@sherlock_comms See these all the time on our patch and I wonder the same. Never any meaningful or tangible results posted, just a few pictures of a couple of fed up looking officers with a handful of scrunched up flyers.
@gantz0l2@InspGadgetBlogs At the expense of everything else. That’s 1/2 officers who won’t be able to go to other incidents with a greater level of risk.
@cynicalbobby Recently our neighbourhood staff have become essentially the only slow time PIP1 investigative function in the force - so they are never out as they are dealing with crime allocations. They’ve uplifted the numbers sure, but only from other areas they’ve gutted 🤷🏼♂️
@cynicalbobby Never done one, heard about anyone doing one or ever seen it recoded on our force systems. So I wonder how many were actually recorded since 2021?
@AEthelswin@LBC Of course he won’t. Can’t generate any rage-baiting headlines in the back of a patrol car going to deliver a bereavement message or MH concern.
Guy who assaulted me during arrest, which has left me with two large & prominent scars on my right hand was given a six month suspended sentence…. What’s the point anymore.
@Brick_Cop@MentalHealthCop I still remember being assaulted whilst single crewed and CPS NFA’ing it as I “did not take into account his vulnerabilities” 🤷🏼♂️ didn’t even speak to the chap before he assaulted me!!
Nottingham Inquiry showing definitively how hollowed out and at breaking point policing is. Under resourced. New staff working unsupervised. And a cruel callousness that comes from war zone fatigue

A 46-year-old man from Surrey, a 51-year-old man from Wales and a 55-year-old man from Bristol have been all arrested on suspicion of fraud by abuse of position.
@Happy_Tuesday1@AchingRat@InspGadgetBlogs The way the article reads is that the first time he absconded was with prison staff, and the second with Police. Obviously doesn’t make it any better, but two different organisations. We don’t use foot cuffs here, which would have stopped this straight away.
@aussie_sarge@west_response It’s true tbh. I have argues the case for routine arming or even a set limit of a response team, like 25% for example carry a sidearm to supplement ARVS. The main sticking point is UoF justification and being hung out to dry.
@AchingRat@Happy_Tuesday1@InspGadgetBlogs obviously big questions, but put it into perspective. We don’t know how long the officers were there, what point of the shift it was at, what point of his treatment etc. momentary lapse of concentration & he’s gone. Cops are human to & make mistakes, shit happens
@sherlock_comms It’s data for data’s sake. It won’t have any meaningful effect on how the cops do the job and will only be used in passing in some obscure oversight committee, or like you said, to get someone a promotion. Ah well, onto the next form eh?
@sherlock_comms Maybe in data heavily skewed by the Metropolis & WMP. Certainly not in my own personal experience, which doesn’t count for a lot on a national scale. Again, still no “WHY”, if we already know the answer.
