People who are highly aware become unsociable. Crowds drain them. Noise overwhelms them. Small talk feels like work. They chill different. A cozy room. Two people they trust. Good food. Music. Conversations that actually mean something. That’s where they feel alive. Depth over noise. Because for them... peace feels like home.
The 7 biggest paradoxes of reading:
1) A book can change your life, yet you'll forget 99% of it a year later.
2) Reading fiction can be more educational than non-fiction.
3) The most valuable books aren't new books, they're books you've already read.
4) The more books you read, the dumber you'll feel because you'll realize how little you actually know.
5) The best readers are quitters, they quit bad books to make room for better ones.
6) School rewards the memorization of books, but life rewards the application of books.
7) Books don't change, but if you reread a book years later, you will discover completely new lessons from it.
Write more. Write to think. Write until you're no longer confused. Write about the problems you already solved. Write for the person you were 2 years ago. Write so you never lose what took you years to figure out. A simple writing habit can change absolutely everything.
your brain will never believe you are capable of doing hard and great things until you repeatedly do hard things and survive the hard outcomes. this is how you train your brain and how neuroplasticity works.
Study yourself. Your thought patterns. Behavior. Habits. Compulsions. Anxieties. Insecurities. Addictions. These are the very things standing between you and the life you actually want to live. Sit with them. Once you face them, the unconscious becomes conscious. And when you finally understand what they are and how they control you, you awaken. You become... unstoppable.
You seriously underestimate how much you can do with time. 1 year is a fucking lifetime. 6 months is enough to go from 0 to 100. Even 1 week of full commitment 14 hours a day is enough to push the needle so far forward you won't even recognize yourself. Just do more. Just do what your heart desires. Just be better.
Write up all the positive things in your life that you tend to take for granted: the people who have been kind and helpful to you, the health that you presently enjoy.
Gratitude is a muscle that requires exercise or it will atrophy.
That's why I say to every single person I meet
You have to book a flight to China now, please visit some of its cities, and NOT Hong Kong or even Shenzhen
No visit ACTUAL China, go to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu, Beijing, Xi'an
Ask Chinese people on here before you visit if you can visit their offices, they'll take you out for dinner and show their immense hospitality
You and the other 1.6 billion people of the West all have a blind spot and have to understand this country to go forward in the 21st century and the only way to do so is to actually go there and walk around there
Be brave and change your flight for Tokyo to a flight to Shanghai!
Japan is sick of you tourists anyway, while in China you'll be the only tourist in a 100km2 radius!
