Devastating to see the spectacular #NotreDame burn down today. The entire world stands with France as it mourns and rebuilds this historic symbol of beauty and artistry.
BREAKING: Notre Dame's main structure and two iconic towers have been saved following massive fire, French firefighter official says. https://t.co/CEeUQ55vwW
Today, students in all three of Dr. Van Hoy’s classes presented their posters about German - American Internment during WWII at the 20th annual St. Mary’s University Research Symposium. Congratulations to all of the students that participated! Thank you for your hard work.
I am running to serve you as the next president. The challenges we face are the greatest in living memory. No one person can meet them on their own. Only this country can do that, and only if we build a movement that includes all of us. Say you're in: https://t.co/EKLdkVET2u

For students or anyone going through a tough time, try and remember that there tend to be seasons of yes and seasons of no. Acceptances and rejections like to cluster together. /2
Excited to represent @StMarysU at Texas Undergraduate Research day at the Texas State Capitol. I hope to emphasize the importance of student research to state legislators! ... and maybe interest them in assisting @StMUPublicHist gain recognition for German Americans interned ;)
@NaomiRendina @LWieck@Sept11Memorial@StMUPublicHist Agreed! The “path to ground zero” allows you to follow alongside the path of the survivors who were able to make it down the survivor staircase, but then helps you to realize how many didn’t when you reach the end at the bottom. The “physical” symbolism makes it real!
@Sept11Memorial does a great job of presenting information while allowing time for mourning and remembrance. It will be interesting to see this museum shift its purpose to engage future generations that did not experience 9-11 and its impact firsthand. @StMUPublicHist
@YearRemembrance does not end here! We remember the past, but we must also look to the future! I look forward to opening up a non for profit with several partners to help promote heritage tourism in CC. More updates to come so stay tuned! @StMarysU@StMUPublicHist
Being a student lead for @YearRemembrance was an honor. It was great to see people from so many different backgrounds unite to gain federal recognition for German Americans & Latin Americans interned during WWII! Thank you @NYJACL, @ElaineAyala, @StMarys, and many others!
Please propose legislation on Feb 19– The annual Day of Remembrance. These former child internees can’t wait much longer. The youngest ones are 75. Our oldest ones are 89. They dread the cold of New York, but they rally, so that we will remember when they are gone. Please come
@heroinebook @YearRemembrance is seeking to gain federal recognition for German Americans and German Latin Americans interned during WWII! (Italians were recognized under Clinton, Japanese under Reagan) https://t.co/wC2xUUta63
