An attack on truth, an attempt to erase history that would help us improve society today, a refusal to be uncomfortable and engaged in changing harmful policies and practices… #HarrietTubman
I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.
What’s most clear to me tonight is that this is just the beginning, that Americans across this country, no matter their title or party, are ready to be heard.
I believe that history will show we rose to meet this moment.
It will show we did not let the chaos and division go unanswered.
It will show that when our president chose to spread lies and sow fear, we chose to come together, to work together, and to rise together.
Last night I stood up for those who need Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. Democrats will never abandon the fight to make sure every American has a safe, healthy, and financially secure life. #ISaidWhatISaid
Tonight, I encourage you all to turn OFF the State of the DisUnion & instead tune into the 24 hour State of The People which is currently streaming!
If you want truth, this is where you will find it!
Finally, as I’m still unsure about my attendance tonight, I must say that I wish I could tap Kendrick and ask, “What would K Dot do?”
DOGE isn't here to serve anyone other than Elon Musk and Donald Trump.
And it was never about "efficiency."
Just like the doge meme, the lives of hard-working families are a joke to them.
From our earliest days, Black history has always been American history – and Black folks have profoundly shaped our American culture through music, art, literature, sports, and beyond. One month a year is not sufficient to celebrate the power of the movements and the people who have fought for the rights we enjoy today. That’s something that we have to do each and every day, as we strive to live up to their example and make sure our children and grandchildren remember their stories.
If I could embrace each of you who are facing being more vulnerable with less rights, I would.
These words from my father encourage me to look up and to keep fighting for freedom, democracy, and a world where injustice ceases and love prevails.
Maybe you’ll find them helpful and a source of hope.

The “Shut up & dribble” mob hasn’t attacked Nick Bosa the way they did @Kaepernick7 & @KingJames when politics were brought into sports. @nbsmallerbear MAGA allegiance is no secret, & no one really cares. Still, it’s apparent that
crashing an interview with a MAGA hat was received differently than black athletes standing up for equality.
Like never before, Partisanship now divides our country, & it’s clear where the “Great Again” following stands. Any intentional, public, & flippant display of MAGA support is only done with reason. Especially for an athlete. It’s funny, yet not surprising that the “shut up” crowd has been silent. Guess it’s easier to deal with someone who thinks exactly like you.

Today I’m heading to Michigan to join @KamalaHarris on the campaign trail!
In this final stretch, we have to give it everything we’ve got. It’s time for everybody to #DoSomething!
Find ways to get involved today at https://t.co/6g4HZzYgIQ.
Instead of giving energy/attention to those dead set on disrespecting a black woman running for the highest office in the land I choose to focus on the FAR, FAR MORE of us putting the work in behind the scenes to galvanize support for an incredible leader and role model for so many including our beautiful daughters. Proud to support #Kamala2024. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADAME VP!!!
Today is #NationalVoterRegistrationDay! Now is the time to make sure every single person we know is registered to vote.
Join me and @WhenWeAllVote by going to https://t.co/6tazVuXOIO to check your voter registration status or to sign up to vote if you haven't already.
Don’t wait until later or tomorrow to do it — it’s just too easy to forget. Voter registration deadlines in states across the country are coming up soon, and your voice deserves to be heard this November!
Sometimes God will leave you in a season a little longer.
What you call slowness is really His love. His slowness is His steadiness that's preparing you for something that your eyes can't see.
Tonight, we saw firsthand who has the vision and strength to move this country forward instead of dividing us. @KamalaHarris will be a president for all Americans.
Let's get to work: https://t.co/EuAXRi0gI2
