Under Labour’s new Women’s Health Strategy, we’re breaking down barriers with the biggest advances in women’s reproductive health since the 1960s.
Women’s health must be a priority - never an afterthought. 🌹
Let's all remember that vapes use cobalt from mines in Congo where Congolese men, women, and children are exploited and forced into dangerous mines with no safety gear and procedures. Also, vaping is as bad for your health and the environment as nicotine cigarettes are.

Reform UK has dismissed claims that Nigel Farage made racist and antisemitic comments while at school as a smear campaign against the leader.
Bafta-winning director and producer Peter Ettedgui, who attended Dulwich College in south London at the said time as Farage, told the Guardian: “He would sidle up to me and growl, ‘Hitler was right,’ or ‘Gas them,’ sometimes adding a long hiss to simulate the sound of the gas showers.”
He added: “I’d never experienced antisemitism growing up, so the first time that this vicious verbal abuse came out of Farage’s mouth was deeply shocking. But I wasn’t his only target.”
Ettedgui recalls Farage calling other students racial slurs and urging them to “go home”.
“I tried to ignore him, but it was humiliating”, he said. "It was shaming. This kind of abuse cuts through to the core of your identity.”
Another former pupil recalled that Farage would ask pupils from ethnic minority backgrounds where they were from and tell them “that’s the way back”.
Other contemporaries of Farage recalled similar incidents but disputed that they were racist or antisemitic. One former pupil recalls singing a song with Farage about gassing Jews, but said it was a case of “boys being naughty to annoy the grown-ups. You knew they were wrong, that was the thrill.”
Responding to the claims, Reform UK said: “These allegations are entirely without foundation. The Guardian has produced no contemporaneous record or corroborating evidence to support these disputed recollections from nearly 50 years ago.”
Ettedgui said he did not raise the issue with his parents or teachers: “I just buried the whole experience and got on with life. Many years later, a friend sent me a link to a video of Farage berating EU commissioners. Just hearing that aggressive, hectoring tone again, my blood ran cold.”
He added: “From my experience, there’s no doubt in my mind that he was a profoundly, precociously racist teenager […] I’d like to know why he’s never owned up or shown the slightest contrition.”
In 2022, former Channel 4 News reporter Michael Crick published a letter from an English teacher at Farage’s former private school describing him as having “publicly professed racist and neo-fascist views”.

It opens to the public on Friday 21st November.
My favourite poster is Theatres by Verney L Danvers in 1926
