The Otranto Massacre took place on August 14, 1480, when Ottoman forces under Gedik Ahmed Pasha beheaded roughly 800 Italian men on the Hill of Minerva (now the Hill of the Martyrs) after the fall of the city of Otranto...

Approximately 800-813 surviving male inhabitants aged 15 and older were gathered and offered clemency if they converted to Islam. Led by an elderly tailor named Antonio Primaldo (Pezzulla), they refused to renounce their faith and were executed one by one. Estimates indicate thousands were killed during the initial sack (with figures around 12,000 dead), and roughly 5,000 women and children were taken away to be sold into slavery.

The fierce resistance at Otranto delayed further Ottoman movements up the Italian peninsula, buying time for the Kingdom of Naples and its allies to organize defenses and protect Rome.

The summer sun lay heavy over the whitewashed walls of Otranto in August of 1480, baking the dust into the blood. The streets were choked with bodies—men in torn doublets, women clutching lifeless infants, children whose cries had already gone silent. Across the harbor, the banners of the Ottoman Empire rippled in the sea breeze, their crimson field and crescent moon stark against the blue of the Adriatic.

The city’s gates, battered and splintered, hung useless on their hinges. Behind them, in the cathedral square, eight hundred men stood bound in rows, their faces set, eyes fixed on the horizon. A Turkish officer read the final demand:

Embrace Islam or face the sword.

When no one stepped forward, the blades began their work.

Otranto had been the sentinel of Italy’s heel for centuries, a fortified port guarding the narrow channel between the Adriatic and the Ionian Seas. On July 28, 1480, a fleet of roughly ninety Ottoman galleys appeared offshore, carrying an invasion force of eighteen thousand under the command of Gedik Ahmed Pasha. The target was not merely a provincial town but the gateway to the Kingdom of Naples—and, potentially, all of Italy.

Mehmet II, “the Conqueror” of Constantinople, had turned his gaze westward. And if Otranto fell, nothing stood between the Sultan’s armies and the papal states.

The siege began with cannon fire that shook the very limestone foundations of the walls. For fifteen days the defenders, numbering perhaps six thousand including civilians, resisted with crossbow bolts, arquebus fire, and boiling oil poured from the battlements. The city’s governor, Count Francesco Largo, fell early in the fighting, leaving Archbishop Stefano Pendinelli to rally both soldiers and townsfolk. Chroniclers tell of the archbishop walking the ramparts in full vestments, carrying the relics of St. Stephen and offering absolution to the dying. But the walls could not withstand the relentless pounding. On August 11, a breach yawned open, and the Ottoman troops surged in.

What followed was indiscriminate slaughter. An estimated twelve thousand inhabitants were killed outright; five thousand more—mostly women and children—were chained for the slave markets of the Islamic world. The surviving men of fighting age, some eight hundred in number, were herded together.

According to Italian and later Vatican accounts, they were offered their lives in exchange for conversion to Islam. Their spokesman, a humble tailor named Antonio Primaldo, answered for them all: they would remain faithful to Christ, whatever the cost.

One by one, they were beheaded outside the city walls, their bodies left as a warning and their heads sent to the Sultan.

The sack of Otranto shocked all of Christendom. Pope Sixtus IV called for a crusade, while Ferdinand I of Naples and the kings of Spain scrambled to reinforce their coasts. Yet, providentially, the wider Ottoman campaign stalled; Mehmet II died unexpectedly the following year, and in 1481 a Neapolitan force retook the ruined city.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence (HUR) has released new estimates of Russia’s military stockpiles ahead of winter.

🚨 Russia is reportedly producing more than 200 missiles every month, including approximately 110 ballistic missiles.

Russia’s estimated arsenal includes:

🔴 6,200 Shahed-type attack drones in reserve.

🔴 115 Iskander-M ballistic missiles, with another 65 produced monthly.

🔴 More than 450 Kalibr cruise missiles.

🔴 Up to 400 RM-48U missiles.

🔴 More than 600 Oniks missiles.

🔴 More than 120 Zircon missiles.

🔴 Kh-101 production reportedly exceeds 80 missiles per month.

Do you understand what these numbers mean?

They mean more nights like this.

More Ukrainian children sleeping in shelters.

More families living without electricity or heating.

More civilians killed while the world debates the price of fuel.

Russia is stockpiling weapons ahead of winter. We are preparing to survive another winter of Russian attacks.

And instead of talking about diesel prices, perhaps it’s time to talk about stopping the country that’s bombing us.

UKRAINIANS ARE NOT THE PRICE YOU PAY FOR YOUR POLITICAL GAMES.

🔴Τέσσερις μεγάλες χώρες της Ευρώπης πρωταγωνιστούν στην οικονομική και στρατιωτική βοήθεια προς την Ουκρανία: η Βρετανία, η Γερμανία, η Γαλλία και η Ιταλία. Μετά την συμφωνία του με τον υπερατλαντικό κλόουν, οι χώρες αυτές (και δευτερευόντως οι υπόλοιπες της Ευρώπης), είναι πλέον το μοναδικό εμπόδιο του Πούτιν, για να υποχρεώσει την Ουκρανία να ταπεινωθεί και να παραδοθεί.
🔴Από τις τέσσερις αυτές χώρες, για πολλούς και διάφορους λόγους, οι «αδύναμοι κρίκοι» είναι η Γαλλία και η Ιταλία. Στην Γαλλία, οι έξωθεν εμπρηστές της ομαλότητας πιάστηκαν στα πράσα! Σύμφωνα με το Visegrad, οι γαλλικές υπηρεσίες πληροφοριών επιβεβαίωσαν τον ρόλο που παίζουν δίκτυα ρωσσικών bots στις ταραχές. Ας δούμε τώρα την ιταλική περίπτωση.
🔴Στις 14 Οκτωβρίου, η πρωθυπουργός Μελόνι, εκφώνησε έναν μνημειώδη λόγο στο ιταλικό κοινοβούλιο, επιβεβαιώνοντας με κατηγορηματικό τρόπο, την συνέχιση της στήριξής της στην Ουκρανία. Αρχικά, εξήγησε ποια είναι η κατάσταση στην Ουκρανία:
«Αδυνατώντας να σημειώσει πρόοδο στην πρώτη γραμμή, η Μόσχα άρχισε να χτυπά όλο και πιο σκληρά τον άμαχο πληθυσμό: σταθμούς παραγωγής ενέργειας, πολυκατοικίες, νοσοκομεία, ακόμη και λεωφορεία, όπως στην φρικτή σφαγή στο Κραματόρσκ. Αυτή είναι μια στρατηγική μέσω της οποίας η Ρωσσία στοχεύει να συντρίψει τον ουκρανικό λαό μέσω της τρομοκρατίας, του κρύου και του σκοταδιού, απλώς και μόνο επειδή δεν κατάφερε να τον συντρίψει στο πεδίο της μάχης».
🔴Στην συνέχεια, εξήγησε τους λόγους που είναι απαραίτητη η συνέχιση της βοήθειας:
«Η υποστήριξη προς την Ουκρανία δεν αποτελεί εναλλακτική λύση στην ειρήνη. Είναι αυτό που καθιστά δυνατή την ειρήνη. Η παράδοση δεν είναι ειρήνη. Είναι κατάκτηση. Αν η Ουκρανία σταματούσε να αμύνεται αύριο, όπως πολλοί ελπίζουν και προτείνουν, δεν θα είχαμε ειρήνη. Θα συζητούσαμε την κατοχή ενός ευρωπαϊκού έθνους και την επιστροφή του ιμπεριαλισμού σοβιετικού τύπου, τον οποίο βίωσε η Ευρώπη για μισό αιώνα. Προσωπικά, δεν θέλω να ξαναδώ ρωσσικά τανκς στους δρόμους της Πράγας και της Βουδαπέστης, ούτε νέο Τείχος του Βερολίνου».
🔴Τέλος, η κ. Μελόνι, χαρακτήρισε την συμφωνία του κλόουν για το ρωσσικό ντίζελ «πολύ επικίνδυνη», κι όπως πολύ σωστά επισήμανε:
«Η αύξηση των τιμών των καυσίμων οφείλεται στον πόλεμο στο Ιράν, όχι στη σύγκρουση στην Ουκρανία».
🔴Διόλου τυχαία, τρεις μέρες μετά την ομιλία της, άρχισε η αναταραχή. Σε πιο περιορισμένο βαθμό απ’ ό,τι στην Γαλλία, διότι στην Ιταλία δεν υπάρχει άφθονη «εύφλεκτη ύλη», δηλαδή «μετανάστες τρίτης και τέταρτης γενιάς». Επιπλέον, πολλοί απ’ αυτούς που έχουν πάρει την ιταλική υπηκοότητα, δεν είναι μουσουλμάνοι από την Αφρική, αλλά χριστιανοί από ευρωπαϊκές χώρες, όπως η Ρουμανία, η Αλβανία κ.λπ. Έτσι, στην αναταραχή, πρωταγωνιστούν τα σεσημασμένα όργανα της Μόσχας (αριστεροί, antifa), συνεπικουρούμενα από βορειοαφρικανούς λαθρομετανάστες.
🔴Και, μην νομίζετε ότι οι υβριδικές επιχειρήσεις της Μόσχας, περιορίζονται στις μεγάλες χώρες. Ακόμα και στις ταραχές που έχουν ξεσπάσει στην Αλβανία φαίνεται πως έχει βάλει το χεράκι της, καθώς σύμφωνα με χθεσινές δηλώσεις του Έντι Ράμα:
«Από την απαρχή κιόλας της “Επανάστασης των Φλαμίνγκο”, η δημόσια δυσαρέσκεια συνοδεύτηκε από ένα κύμα ρωσσικής επιρροής στα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης. Δεκάδες χιλιάδες ψεύτικα προφίλ δημιουργήθηκαν, με σκοπό να προσποιηθούν ότι ανήκουν σε Αλβανούς που επιθυμούσαν να προστατεύσουν τη φύση. Δεν πρόκειται για συμπτώσεις. Εδώ δεν υπάρχουν συμπτώσεις».
🔴Τέλος, δεν πρέπει να ξεχνάμε, ότι προ ημερών, τα ακροαριστερά «πουτινάκια» δοκίμασαν να μετατρέψουν και την Ισπανία σε «Γαλλία», αλλά η σκληρή αντιμετώπιση από την αστυνομία, τους «έκοψε τον βήχα». Επίσης, να μην ξεχνάμε ότι ο Ισπανός πρωθυπουργός Σάντσεθ, εκτός από το Ισραήλ, είχε καταγγείλει δημοσίως και την Ρωσσία, για «διάδοση παραπληροφόρησης γύρω από τη μεταναστευτική πολιτική της Ισπανίας», προκαλώντας την μαζική εισβολή 60.000 λαθρομεταναστών στην Θέουτα, στα τέλη Ιουλίου.

The Albanian Muslim Ali Pasha, on January 11, 1801, executed the Greek Christian woman Kyra Frosyni together with 17 other Greek women by drowning them in the lake of Ioannina. According to the Islamic customs of the period, women could only be executed at night. In the freezing midnight hours of January 11, the women were all led together into boats on Lake Pamvotida in Ioannina.

The executioners threw them into the water, tied up and not inside sacks, as was the Islamic custom. One version states that they were put into sacks, but Frosyni and her servant (possibly her elderly nurse) managed, before being placed in the sacks, to jump into the water tied up and drowned like the rest.

Some of the women submitted fatalistically, reciting their prayers, while others shouted "Help!"

One of the executioners later said that he had seen many tortures, but he would never forget the faces of the women in the water and that he would wake up many nights hearing their screams in his nightmares.

The bodies washed ashore and were buried amid general outrage, but Ali Pasha announced that the Greeks were wrong to protest, since he would have spared their lives if even one of their relatives had appeared in time.

For the 18 women, it was also decided to seal their houses at the same time and confiscate their properties.

These stories remind us why Islam is not compatible with our countries.

This is what happened when Zelensky met with Melvin Hurwitz a United States World War 2 Veteran.

The Veteran tried to kiss Zelensky's hand, quickly realising what was happening, Zelesnky pulls his hand, he didn't feel like he deserved that level of respect from a Hero. Instead Zelesnky brings himself down to his level and embraces him instead.

When in France for the 100th aniversary of World War 1, Trump was asked if he would visit the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery where 2,289 United States Military personal lay after being killed in World War 1, Trump said:

“Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.”

In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 United States Marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as ‘Suckers’ for being killed fighting the Nazi Army.

In 2025 the United States brough home the bodies of 4 fallen United States Service members as their remains returned home. It was usual protocol for Presidents to attend and welcome them home as a show of respect. Trump didnt bother, instead he went to his Golf Club in Florida.

In 2024 at a public event, Trump compared the Presidential Medal of Freedom, a civilian honor, with the Medal of Honor, the highest U.S. military decoration for valor in combat.

He said the civilian award was “much better,” then remarked that Medal of Honor recipients are often severely wounded or dead so Medals Of Honor where insignificant.

They are not the same.

An angry rant from the frontlines of #Ukraine

Imagine 1941, when German aircraft were bombing British cities, Europe was under the Nazi boot, and Churchill was desperately trying to save his country from Hitler's onslaught.

And then, at that very moment, US President Franklin Roosevelt suddenly announces that the main problem is not Hitler, who is occupying foreign territories and killing people, but the stubborn British, who simply refuse to agree to a peace deal. Worse still, they keep bombing German industrial facilities, damaging the economy of the Third Reich and creating difficulties for international trade.

The American president is terribly outraged. After all, his voters need cheap fuel, the economy needs stability, and he himself needs good approval ratings. So instead of helping Britain, he calls Hitler, negotiates the supply of German goods, proposes easing economic restrictions, and threatens to cut Churchill off from weapons and intelligence unless he stops destroying German industry.

And to finally persuade the Führer to come to the negotiating table, American mediators even propose returning some of Germany's frozen state assets.

All in the name of peace, naturally.

And, of course, for the sake of the American economy, which should not have to suffer simply because some stubborn British people refuse to surrender.

Now try to imagine what history textbooks would look like if Roosevelt had actually behaved this way.

What if he had called Hitler a wonderful negotiating partner, demanded that Churchill surrender territory, and simultaneously tried to convince Americans that Germany needed to be allowed to make money because otherwise it would refuse to make peace?

What if, instead of Lend-Lease, Britain had received an American ultimatum: stop bombing German factories because we need to lower prices before the elections?

What would we say about such a president today?

Would we call him a brilliant negotiator who was simply protecting his country's economic interests?

Or would we say that, for his own benefit, he was helping the Nazi war machine while simultaneously depriving its intended victims of the means to defend themselves?

Fortunately, history took a different path.

Roosevelt secured the passage of the Lend-Lease Act, and the United States began providing massive assistance to the countries resisting Hitler even before America formally entered World War II.

But today, watching Donald Trump's actions, I increasingly find myself wondering what Europe's fate would have been if a politician with the same attitude toward aggression, human lives, and personal profit had occupied the White House back then.

Let me tell you what Islam did to Greece and the rest of the world:

In the 1.300 years of Muslim-Arab slave trade, approximately a million Greeks were sold as slaves just because they were Christians.

On March 30, 1822, the Chios Massacre took place. The Muslim Turks slaughtered (Greeks) 42,000 women, men & children. Additionally, 52,000 were sold as slaves in the markets of Smyrna & Constantinople. Young girls were raped publicly in the streets, and newlyweds in front of their husbands, who were then slaughtered. Others were raped in front of their parents, after which the men's genitals were cut off. Women over 40 were set on fire and left to burn alive. Pregnant women had their bellies ripped open and their fetuses pulled out, while small children were thrown forcefully against rocks. The frenzy of the Muslims was unprecedented.

On September 1, 1821, Samothrace was devastated by the Ottomans through a general massacre led by the Turkish Kara Ali. Approximately 10,000 men & boys were slaughtered. Women & children were sold in the markets of Constantinople & Smyrna (Holocaust of Samothrace).

On June 4, 1821, the Turks carried out a massacre against the Greeks of Kydonies in Asia Minor (modern-day Ayvalık). They did pogroms at shops and homes, looting them, while seizing women and children to sell as slaves. Simultaneously, they conducted a general massacre of the population, and the town was set ablaze and completely destroyed.

In Crete muslims carried chains with them to tie up Greek Christian women so they could take them away.

For 300 years the muslim Turks were stealing kids from their mothers. This was the most brutal thing humanity ever witnessed. They were waiting for women to birth, raise their kids, and then at the age of 8 were collecting the them. The devşirme known as "collection of children" or "blood tax" or in Greek as "paidomazoma".

After the Ottoman conquest of Crete (1669), local officials and governors began to oppress the Christian population in every way: killing, abducting and abusing women, demanding money, and preventing the performance of the subjects' religious duties.

We Greeks, called the Muslim Turks, "The grand masters of torture." In 1821, in Patras, they captured a father and son and, after impaling them, lit a fire and forced the other captives to roast them like lambs. Ali Pasha at that point was more inventive: When he impaled Christians, he forced their relatives to turn the spit, threatening that otherwise he would impale them too.

The Muslim Pasha of Thessaloniki, Abdul Abud, who had set as his goal the extermination of the Greeks, burned 120 villages and wiped out their inhabitants to the last one.

5.000 Greeks were massacred in Naousa, the rest were sold in slave markets, and the entire city was reduced to ashes.

The most common torture inflicted by the Muslims during the Ottoman period was whipping. The usual victims were the Christians. It was the introductory torment in every other torture, so common in the persecutions of Christians that the phrase became proverbial: "I will whip you until you change your faith."

During the Ottoman period, Muslims enjoyed performing all kinds of mutilations. Ears, noses, lips, tongues, breasts, and genitals were primarily cut off. Not just those, though. Let's recall here the newly-revealed Saint Raphael of Mytilene, who was hanged from a tree and had his lower jaw cut off, while the twelve-year-old martyr Irene was roasted in a barrel on the Tuesday of Easter in the year 1463, ten years after the fall of Constantinople.

In 1822, Muslims captured the wives of Zafeirakis and Gatsos. The wife of Zafeirakis was built into the wall up to the neck in the church of Hagia Sophia in Thessaloniki. Maria Karatasou, daughter of a priest refused to change faith, and for this Ebub Lubut enclosed her in a sack with deadly snakes, where she martyred.

The Greek Christian Woman, during the years when Greece was enslaved to the Muslim Turks, in order to avoid -as much as she could- the abhorrent dishonor from the barbaric Muslims, would destroy the youthful beauty of her face, or create a family from the age of fourteen, believing that she would not give birth to slaves.
