@arrafiq There was also a time when I did day-trading. For me it was a way to supplement my income or finance the work that I was passionate about. I think I lost more than I earned, but I learnt a lot. But so many of my classmates chose day-trading companies as their career path.

How do you chose the work you do? Is it based on how much money you will make or how much value you will add in the lives of others? Is the value your work adds to society even a factor in your decision when chosing a job or project or creating a company?

@arrafiq Money is, of course, a factor in the job decisions we make. But I often wonder if most people will accept almost any job if they are being given the right money for it. E.g. selling the most useless thing? Or making money out of money instead of investing in ideas/businesses?

@jburnmurdoch Also, Hong Kong is heavily congested, whereas New Zealand has a low poulation density. Plus Hong Kong will have larger multi-generational households whereas New Zealand will have mainly nuclear households. A really bad set of circumstances to be unvaccinated in. :(
