The clock has turned so much towards achieving high scores in step exams, that people are just focused on improving their test taking abilities but that doesn’t necessarily translate into an efficient and compassionate doctors. I have seen people having step scores in 260s and 280s but really miserable, lazy and inefficient doctors. So step scores are not a reflection of how good a doctor you will be in future and how compassionately you will treat your patients.

Behind every “left AMA” is a story. A young mother with DKA left the ICU not because she ignored the risks, but because her children needed her. A reflection on illness, responsibility, and the human stories behind medical decisions. #NarrativeMedicine #MedTwitter #DKA @TheEndoSociety@nymedcollege@NYCHealthSystem@endocrinefeed

Four decades later, has small cell lung cancer really changed?
At ILCS 2025, @RManochakian reflected on the long road from platinum-etoposide in the 1980s to today’s standard of chemo-immunotherapy and second-line lurbinectedin. Progress is real, but the story of SCLC still reminds us how far we have to go.
