The roll back of American power and authority from South and West Asia is in India’s geopolitical interests. The catastrophic US conflict on Iran has accelerated this process.

The US has consistently promoted proxy powers, fueled ethnic and religious conflicts and undermined a natural equilibrium and interdependence between neighboring countries in this vast region. Indian policy needs to stop clutching at the US like a vassal state and imagine an inclusive security architecture for the entire region.
