@ExpatriationLaw I see I finally made the list exactly 2 years after renunciation. It also took 2 years to get my appointnent to renounce. It also took 2 years to get the IRS to reverse 4-$10k fines assessed in error. “All Roads Lead to Renunciation” is true - but it is a slow, winding road.

@Malichi2067 Painful! That’s crazy - I’m in Canada so maybe different here - I sent my bank and broker my CLN, they sent me forms (of course!) so now I have tax withholdings on my US dividends but no more 1040x-type forms and supposedly they’ve scrubbed it from my records. Good luck!

@ExpatriationLaw @Keith__REDMOND @TaxConnections Amen to that! It’s been 18 mos since I renounced and ZERO regret. Zero IRS mail. $30 to file tax not $1000. Zero issues crossing into US - was even issued NEXUS card. Every case is different but for me - best move ever.
