@Olamilekan21172@ponderrinng They're using it as a slur because it triggers people. In Somalia the Bantu tribes actually call themselves "Jareerweyn" aka "Greater Jareer". Stop letting internet trolls get to you.
@EmperoroftheShl Also note that loose wavy hair texture is also very common among black Africans in East Africa like the Somali and Ethiopians. So even if some mummies had loose wavy hair that doesn't mean they were not black. They could have been just Somali/Ethiopian in phenotype.
@EmperoroftheShl Also you're wrong about the hair. There are lots of mummies with tightly curled African hair. They were just usually in braided or locked form as seen below.
@EmperoroftheShl What's your evidence he's Nubian? We know his name and title. He is Maiherpri. He was fan bearer to the Pharoah. A position granted to the Pharoah's closest advisor. Usually a family member. There is zero evidence he was anything other than an Egyptian royal.
@henaHGA7@carterdalast The word Habash was literally used to describe slaves in Arabia. Bilal was called "Al Habash". So the idea the Habesha weren't slaves is a complete fiction. Every ethnic group was enslaved at some point in history.
@ponderrinng Its actually mostly non-black men getting mad because they are scared of having to compete with black men for their women. They know women of other races prefer black men and are triggered by this reality. Women are not generally on Twitter posting social commentary. Its men.

@Olamilekan21172@ponderrinng I agree its not slur. I'm just wondering why you're so triggered by it. Plenty of Somalis have jareer hair and use it to describe their own hair. It just means kinky hair. Its a descriptive term not a racial pejorative.
@jimmyadam120@Sulkalmakh The Andamanese and Pacific Islanders say otherwise. They are proof that kinky hair was part of the base human phenotype when we left Africa.
@eezh_h@EritreaLuv Absolutely. The Khoi San and Pygmies are also different versions of black. I never said Nilotes were exact matches for Ancient East Africans. Just that they are probably the closer than Cushites which has an Ancient Eurasian component in there as well.
@eezh_h@EritreaLuv The climate difference between one part of East Africa to the next isn't significant enough to change phenotype that dramatically. Unlike Cushites, Nilotes don't carry non-African lineages. So their phenotype is closer to the Ancient East Africans than Cushites. That's the point.
@BarySwn12763@KyleMcCordMuse@properbased@SankofaMarxist Cite the page. Cause I read Al-Jahiz and he made it very clear that he considered the Arabs to be part of the black race. That's why the book is entitled "The Glory of the Black Race." There are different types of black and Arabs were one of those types of black back then.
@Thats_asthcs@RasHabeshaa Why would this matter to you as a non-black male? Okay let's say black men aren't attracted to their own women. So what? If you're not a black woman why should this matter to you? To me this screams fear of having to compete with black men for non-black women.
@EritreaLuv@eezh_h You tried to argue there was something special about having Ancient East African DNA. Reality is the Nilotic speaking tribes in South Sudan carry it too. So there's nothing special about it. We diverge from the Nilotes phenotypically based on our Eurasian ancestry not African.
@usc_4@AfricaFirsts There's no evidence he's anything other than Egyptian. His name is Maiherpri. His position was fan bearer to the Pharoah. That was the closest advisor to the Pharoah. Highly unusual the Pharoah would put a foreigner as his closest advisor.
@eezh_h@EritreaLuv Nilotic tribes carry it as well. The difference is we carry an Ancient Eurasian component that they don't carry hence the difference in phenotype. No different than how Cape Verdeans carry a European component other West Africans don't carry hence the difference in phenotype.
