Trump, his minions and much of the media refer to Iran as a "Regime" and say it has an "Ideology" as if these, of themselves, are wicked things.
A "regime" merely means a Government. The US "No Kings" marches are against the authoritarian "regime" (Government) of Donald Trump, who has an increasingly powerful strangle hold control of the three branches of US Government.
As for the Iranian regime having an "Ideology!!!": everyone on the planet has an "Ideology" (meaning merely "a system of ideas and ideals").
The Trump regime and his Christian White Supremacist Fundamentalist partners would dearly love to have the control of the USA and its people that the Iranian regime has over the people of Iran, and Trump and his idealogical bedfellows are pushing hard to get that level of control.
The "free world" needs America.
The "free world" needs a democratic, sane, free America. We don't need an American ancient Rome falling apart under the leadership of a Malignant Narcissist Caligula.

After declaring, "I can do whatever I want!"; after starting a war that is in violation of international law and with zero consultation with America's allies (just more and more boasting announcements on his laughingly titled "Truth Social" media swamp); after declaring that he has already won the war ... Donald "Bone Spurs" Trump is now calling on China, France, Japan, South Korea and Britain to bail him out of his disastrous, boasting-boasting-boasting, arrogant video game inspired catastrophe ... so that further down the line he can blame *them* for the even bigger, murderous (financially ruinous for already struggling American and European [which includes UK] financially strapped working class and middle class millions already battling inflation upon inflation.
The Iran war is not a NATO war. The Iran War is a boasting bloated bully's war. A bloated, elected bully who remains an existential threat to us all.

Surprise? What Surprise?
Vote for a clearly dishonest, manipulative shyster candidate who promises obvious absurdities, wars ended in 24 hours, bags of gold for the pay check to pay check struggling millions, nothing but peace, peace, more peace and glory and winning and whining; vote for that and expect anything other than chaos, disappointment, betrayal and pain. Then be surprised by the result?! As Charlie Brown would say, "Good grief!"
If it's any comfort to US citizens, we Brits (except the Scots, well done) voted for Boris Johnson and Brexit and are apparently considering voting for the clearly dishonest, manipulative shyster Nigel Farage. It would be refreshing to hear the global electorate say what Monty Python would say, "And now for something completely different"!
