Camden shed's 'Duchess' 46240 City of Coventry waits to depart at Euston on 18/5/63. The overhead ramp/roadway seen here was used in the destruction of the old station. 46240 was withdrawn in Sep'64.

The Woodhead Route was closed.

76006 & 76014 head the last electric service through Penistone shortly before 5 a.m. on the 18th of July 1981.

The service was the late running Harwich to Edge Hill SpeedLink train.
