Before you start ranting “poor quality, scam” etc over the Missing Link closure you need to know the facts

1)Lonavala received a whopping 670 mm of rainfall in 24 hours on 6th July

2) The previous highest ever recorded rainfall in 24 hours was 432mm

Whenever you design any such project you will consider past extremes and arrive at a certain WCS to incorporate your factors of safety

In such extreme conditions even the WCS planning proves inadequate

So stop the unnecessary rant just because you hate Modi-Fadnavis

The engineers working on this project have no political allegiance - the only believe in their knowledge

There is no infrastructure or technology in the world that can make a mountain completely landslide-proof. The fact that the core tunnel remained intact under such extreme conditions speaks more about the strength of the engineering than its failure.
