Even the smallest feeling is said to be accompanied by craving, And craving produces all forms of clinging. The clinging in turn perpetuates all existence, And based on existence, one’s birth occurs.

The Five Hindrances - The Forces That Block Enlightenment ☸️
In the Pali Canon, Shakyamuni Buddha spoke of five hindrances that obstruct the path to Wisdom. They are Not enemies outside us, but subtle forces that quietly shape daily life.
1) Desire pulls the mind toward what it wants.
2) Ill will pushes it away from what it dislikes.
3) Sloth wraps awareness in heaviness and sleep.
4) Restlessness scatters attention in a hundred directions.
5) Doubt whispers that The Path or Dharma is pointless or that Awakening is impossible.
Every meditator knows these visitors.
They appear during meditation, but they also appear in ordinary moments: while working, speaking, scrolling through a screen, worrying about tomorrow, or replaying yesterday.
Lord Shakyamuni Buddha compared the mind burdened by these hindrances to water that cannot reflect clearly. A lake churned by wind or covered in mud cannot reveal what lies beneath its surface.
Yet there is good news.
The hindrances are not permanent. They are conditions that arise and pass away.
Each moment of mindfulness weakens their hold. Each moment of patience, kindness, and clear seeing allows the waters to settle.
When the mind grows still, wisdom naturally shines through.
The sky was never lost.
Only hidden behind passing clouds. 🙏

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it ― unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.

“Whatever impurities and defilements have been produced through all conceptual fabrications in the beginningless flood of cyclic existence,
all of that I properly confess completely in the presence of the Great Compassionate Ones.”

Aum Namaha Babaji Maha-Varada!
Forget about your life situation for a while and pay attention to your life.
Your life situation exists in time. Your life is now.
Your life situation is mind-stuff. Your life is real.
"As long as there is an attachment to the self, one will perceive an 'other.' From dividing the world into 'self' and 'other,' attachment and aversion arise. Entangled in these two, all flaws and suffering come into being."
