i love that period when you find a great series & you don't care about anything except the series. you forget about everything, just you & the series.
No, you cannot walk 10,000 steps daily, get 8 hours of sleep, cook every night, clean every day, take care of a family, make time for your own hobbies, and still be productive at work every day. This is not just propaganda, it is nonsense. Free yourself from it.
Most engineers in the industry have no idea what’s going on in AI or how good the latest models are.
It’s not their fault. It’s mainly because:
- Companies still aren’t letting them use AI.
- Even when they do, they don’t give them access to the best models out there.
And these engineers don’t have the time or incentive to try out those models at their own expense.
That’s why most engineers are clueless and still think AI sucks at writing code.
There's no such thing as a self-made millionaire.
I've had a good run. IIM Calcutta, INSEAD, led teams across SF, APAC, EMEA. And I've never once called myself self-made.
Because none of it happens without my parents funding an education they couldn't really afford. Or a manager who promoted me before I'd earned it. Or mentors who pulled me up early.
Hustle culture loves the lone-wolf story because it sells courses. Real success is built on privilege, luck, and people quietly carrying you.
And I never shy away from admitting that.
The only thing sitting between what you are rn and what you wanna be in life is your audacity.
Have the audacity to do whatever you want in life and no chance you don’t get it
Underrated life advice: get better at recovering fast. You're going to fail. You're going to get rejected. Make bad calls. Lose money. Embarrass yourself. Whatever it is, the goal is shrinking the gap between falling down and getting back up. Master the art of starting over.
