The hook is basically:
“Breaking up with Pinterest because this new app is so much better.”
You can use the exact same psychology for almost any app:
Duolingo:
“Deleting Duolingo because this app makes learning Spanish way more fun.”
Notion:
“Breaking up with Notion because this app finally made organizing my life easy.”
Google Maps:
“I might actually stop using Google Maps after finding this.”
MyFitnessPal:
“Deleting MyFitnessPal because this app makes tracking food ridiculously simple.”
Spotify:
“Spotify might have officially been replaced by this app.”
The formula:
Popular app → dramatic switch → curiosity → show the new app.

@jukan05 So many products like linens are made with slave labor. Environmental standards are different so stronger chemicals are used for efficiency. There’s lower food standards without oversight.
Finally the cost of labor is much cheaper because of fewer regulations and worker rights.
@HakataQueen Everyone in Japan mails luggage from the airport to our destination. It is rude to carry too much responsible to save 1000 yen.
You are an irresponsible moron. Stay in France and don’t come back.
