Ric Bucher calls out the hot-take media (eg Skip Bayless) who are quick to judge Wembanyama after one playoff run:
“Let’s also recognise, shall we, this is Wemby and the Spurs first taste of basketball ever. They’re not supposed to be on a stage this big yet..
And some of you want to declare who and what he (Wemby) is and isn’t right now, right in the middle of that growth curve.
It makes for content to fill a show, and I’m sure it attracts an audience, but it’s dumb and not all that useful other than to fill up airtime.. it sacrifices accuracy and true insight and authenticity for the sake of expediency..
I believe there is still an audience that values being provided true understanding of a sport. An audience that respects a sense of responsibility for putting out content that is meaningful and substantive rather than just incendiary.
Skip Bayless is now saying Victor Wembanyama doesn’t have the clutch gene because of how he has played so far in this series. I can’t prevent myself from smiling or laughing at that notion.. this just feels like clickbaiting for clickbaiting sake.”

Saminu’s point couldn’t have been amplified without the Black Stars comparison. He is not asking for 5-star treatment but equity. He’s not even referring to bonuses but comfortable transportation. This was the Black Stars quandary in the 1990s until we decided to put in money. The only way you can assess the windfall from athletics is to invest in it or? Black Stars World Cup benefit is after the fact. Would the Black Stars have qualified in the first place were it not for investment?
Ghana’s first bike-sharing company is going electric. Aldin Cycles (@aldincycles), founded by young Ghanaian entrepreneurs, is expanding its fleet with pedal-assisted e-bikes.
Since launching in 2025, the company has steadily grown a strong user base, surpassing 25,000 sign-ups and recording over 75,000 completed rides, clear evidence of how effective bike-sharing can be on university campuses.
As part of its next phase, Aldin Cycles is engaging several major universities, with plans to roll out pilot programs before the end of 2026.
