You want the young officer to sacrifice his life for the love of the Nation, but you don’t want him to express his love for his fiancée.
In the Army we say ‘Youngster nahi karega, toh kaun karega’.
If you can not find a fault in his professional capabilities, don’t do this nuktachini for such a pure gesture of love and belonging.
Military equipment has been on display during many ‘Know your Army’ exhibitions around the country. The students and non military personnel have clicked pics with it showing pride and love for the Army. So, please don’t bring in the national security angle into this.
Let the young soldier do his national duty with pride and honour 👍

CBSE fiasco in nut shell - All of a sudden this year, few months before exam, CBSE decides to change the exam paper evaluation pattern. Earlier answer sheets were evaluated by teachers at valuation centres. This time CBSE introduced OSM (On Screen Marking).
What is OSM ? All the answer sheets will be scanned and teachers will evaluate the scanned papers on screen. Why scan the answer sheets? Now we know this unwanted scanning contract was given to Coempt for Rs.390 crore ... Why such a wastage of money for scanning 18 lakh students answer sheets ... Who brought this bogus idea of scanning? 😎
Very smart kid Sarthak Sidhant ...must appreciate his talent in exposing the lacunes in the OSM system ... I repeat .. this digital scanned answer paper evaluation is not a good idea. Examination papers must be evaluated by the traditional district wise central evaluation by teachers manually
@reachdk Kids are really struggling with this language fiasco. It's really nonsense. Advanced English should be mandatory and mother tongue basic is what is all that is required IMHO.
Being proud of your culture and folk music is one thing and showcasing it anywhere and everywhere making others uncomfortable shows insensitivity! Garba has an occasion and a place! Never on an airport tarmac or under the eiffel tower 🙏 Shameful! P.S. I am a proud Gujarati and I love Garba!
You need to be highly vigilant whenever you’re using AI to master something.
With AI, the more likely outcome is having an illusion of mastery instead of the real thing. AI plays well into our tendency to save cognitive effort precisely when the point is to spend it.
The real scandal is that India's diplomatic apparatus, given a perfectly ordinary provocation, chose to respond not with a single sharp sentence but with a civilisational lecture, and in doing so managed to look both thin-skinned and long-winded simultaneously.
If you put 100 dollars into gold in 2010, you would get 384 today.
If you put 100 dollars into rupee, you would get 47.3 today.
This math is why people hold gold.
I enjoy very much how economists analyze:
Oil is up $50. India imports 5 million per day. This is US$ 250 m extra per day or US$ 7.5 billion per month. How will India make up for annual US$ 90 billion extra outflow?
Imagine if investors did analysis like this.
Stock A is up 0.5% today. That means it will be up 11% this month and some 115% in next 12 months. I am not even considering compounding in this. What will I do when I make so much return- I better book my new car right now.

This explains what @GabbbarSingh does and why and what he will do tomorrow when the tables turn and sides change and why. Just keeping up with the times!
A lot of crying over this. People at home declaring the PM has disrespected the Armed forces. The same guys will cry we lose the information warfare. He gave complete operational freedom to them, to bomb everything they could. We should not leave any opportunity to humiliate the enemy. You are gaining zero by being morally upright in the Trumpian time of opportunism.
Poor soul has clearly never had a good one. A truly great idli is a cloud, a whisper, a perfect dream of the perfectibility of human civilisation. It's a sublime creation, a delicate, weightless morsel of rice and lentil, steamed to an ethereal fluffiness that melts on the tongue. With the right accompaniments, it is the culinary equivalent of a Beethoven symphony, a Tagore sangeet, a Husain painting, a Tendulkar century. To call such a thing "regret" is to have no soul, no palate, no appreciation for the finest achievements of South Indian culture. I can only feel pity for @Molutty_writes and @SassyDopamine !
Before dismissing a tradition as "irrational," try to understand the deeper human need it serves.
Often, the surface logic isn't the point; it’s an excuse for connection.
