Do you recognise our remarkable female Nobel Prize laureates?
Take a look at some of them when they were young – they would grow up to become women who changed the world.
In the family photo, Marie Skłodowska Curie is pictured with her two daughters Eve and Irène. When she was older, Irène discovered artificial radioactivity and was awarded a Nobel Prize like her mother.
May-Britt Moser is photographed in a red dress when she was six. She would later discover the brain's positioning system.
Gertrude Elion is a happy five-year-old in the last picture. She went on to save millions of lives with her pioneering drug treatment.
