"The SAVE Act and the March 25th executive order would threaten to make things significantly worse. If implemented these policies would disenfranchise countless service members and their families." - Nicole Meek, Military Spouse https://t.co/fShFKNwG7N
@VotebeatUS Nearly 22,000 Michigan voters — military service members and those living overseas — took advantage of a federal law that allows them to cast their ballots from wherever in the world they are.
Trump's executive order on voting could stifle that : https://t.co/dgdk4rFDOx
“Like all Americans, I want to have a voice in our elections,” said Nicole Meek, an Air Force spouse working with @Secure_Families. “But I don’t have the same option that my friends and family have to walk into their local polling station and cast their ballot in person."

If you’re wondering why there’s so much confusion / misinformation about Tim Walz’s military record…
We need newsrooms that know the language of military service vs pundits who discredit any service that’s not combat or don’t count “deployments” unless they’re to Afghanistan
And even cases where there is care on base - civilians are clearly not the priority.
Not to mention the uncomfortable experience of going to a military treatment facility — and an added / weird power dynamic that exists when your healthcare provider is in uniform?
