From my favorite coffee shop to my alma mater, every corner of Coral Gables reminds me why this city is worth fighting for.
My campaign is about honoring the Coral Gables of yesterday, protecting the city we love today, and building toward its future together.

Proud to have contributed to this new partnership between @FIU and @HeriotWattUni, formalized through a memorandum of friendship signed at Panmure House in Edinburgh — Adam Smith’s own historic home.
The agreement coincides with two milestone anniversaries: America’s semiquincentennial and the 250th anniversary of The Wealth of Nations. Grounded in a shared respect for Adam Smith’s legacy, the collaboration between the @AdamSmithCenter and Heriot-Watt advances research, exchange, and opportunity for students on both sides of the Atlantic. 🇺🇸🏴
Great to visit Adam Smith’s home in Edinburgh. Proud of the work being done by FIU’s Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom.
Smith spent years on his works and no doubt suffered through his share of brutal winters in Scotland.
Probably didn’t quite envision his namesake on a university civic institute in a city across the Atlantic that features palm trees, sandy beaches, warm weather and high rise condos.
But just goes to show that philosophies rooted in truth are enduring — and can be influential all around the world!
In the Free State of Florida, we understand that economic freedom is the foundation of prosperity. That’s why I was proud to establish the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom at Florida International University to ensure the next generation studies the ideas that have lifted more people out of poverty and created more prosperity than any other economic system.
In Edinburgh, I joined FIU and Heriot-Watt University to build on that foundation with the signing of an MOU, which will strengthen the enduring ties between Florida and Scotland, and prepare students for economic advancement.
Bound by a shared commitment to Adam Smith’s enduring legacy, FIU’s @AdamSmithCenter and Heriot-Watt University in Scotland are taking the next step in a partnership grounded in scholarship, collaboration, and the pursuit of human flourishing.
I am deeply grateful for the support this campaign has received and enthusiastic to earn the trust of every resident across the City Beautiful as we head into November.
Today, I’m asking my friends, family, and neighbors to join me as we build something special for Coral Gables.
This campaign is about preserving the character of the City Beautiful while preparing thoughtfully for its future. If you’d like to be part of this journey, I’d be honored to have your support.
Every contribution makes a difference. If you’re able to make the maximum contribution of $1,000, it would have an incredible impact—but every dollar helps us reach more neighbors and share a positive vision for Coral Gables.

Thank you for believing in me and in the future of Coral Gables. 💙🤍
I’m proud to announce that I am officially a candidate for the City of Coral Gables Commission, Group V.
As our City Beautiful begins its next century, I’m committed to protecting what makes Coral Gables special, being a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars, and preserving the character and quality of life that define our community.
I would be honored to earn your support.
At the Adam Smith Center, students gain more than an education — they gain direct access to the ideas, leaders, and experiences shaping the future of freedom and prosperity.
Take a look at the impact our programs are making on the next generation of leaders.
Fidel Castro planned to visit Seattle for December 1999 World Trade Organizational Ministerial meeting. @LincolnDBalart and his staff sent this letter to approximately 3,000 state and federal prosecutors, asking to charge and arrest Castro for BTTR murders. Because of this effort, Fidel canceled his trip. 30 years later, justice being done.
The indictment of Raul Castro is long overdue. The mothers, fathers, wives, and children who have carried this grief for nearly three decades deserve to see the full weight of justice brought to bear - not just for the four Brothers to the Rescue pilots shot from the sky, but for every political prisoner tortured, every family torn apart, and every Cuban whose life was stolen by this regime.
In 2011, Congresswoman Ileana @RosLehtinen urged then-Attorney General Eric Holder to indict Fidel and Raul for their role in the shootdown over international waters. That call for justice was never answered - until now. No dictator is beyond the reach of justice, and the era of impunity is over.
Accountability starts here, in Florida, with the indictment of Raúl Castro for the 1996 murders of Brothers to the Rescue volunteers Carlos Costa, Armando Alejandre Jr., Mario de la Peña, and Pablo Morales.
As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution and the enduring principles of Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations, we are grateful to all who made FIU’s @AdamSmithCenter Champion of Freedom Dinner & Celebration a truly wonderful night.
We were honored to recognize and celebrate President Luis Abinader of the Dominican Republic, Gianni Infantino, U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno, Yotuel Romero, Enrique Acevedo, Maris Franca Llorens-Antognoli, and Antonio Huertas. A special thank you to our amazing emcee Pamela Silva.
We invite all those who share in our mission of advancing economic freedom and developing the next generation of leaders to join us next year.
An honor to meet Ecuador’s President @DanielNoboaOk at @TheCHLI’s annual Mosaic of Voices gala. CHLI’s mission in advancing diversity of thought ensures Hispanic voices are heard across the aisle. 🇺🇸🇪🇨
Grateful for the leadership of Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Danny Diaz-Balart for their work in giving young leaders an opportunity of a lifetime. Congrats to Mary Ann Gomez Orta on another outstanding year!
