May updates ba sa pagabolish ng 24 hr duty? 🥹😂
when you see senior dozing off while talking to a patient at OPD or breaking their necks slouching and trying to nap on a table or having coffee as their only meal for the day and snarl at their colleagues and say "im dying ayoko na" 10x daily, who'd get inspired by that 🤷♂️
Abolish quit protocols. Improve teaching and mentoring. Tanggalin ang toxicity sa mga ospitals lalo na kung puro seniority. Much better? Also change the duty hours of residents. Hindi talaga reasonable and humane yang 36 hours na gising and expect doctors to perform their best.
@Nephron826 Perhaps it’s the workload(ie patient: physician ratio) & training culture (ie toxican, 24h duty). I heard newer grads prefers to have work-life balance. Maybe, it’s time to revisit the way training is being done w/c needs collective effort from gov’t (⬆️plantilla) & trng team 🙏
@Nephron826 Simple lang siguro sir:
1. Inhumane working hours (32++ hours of duty), working conditions, and the increasing workload - which, when complaints are filed to department/hospital admin, leads to either inaction by the admin, or the usual "nung kami nakaya namin yan" statement.
@Nephron826 Kasi it’s not only the salary that’s the problem. Siguro time na to tweak the inhumane 36-duty-hours, employing very few personnel vs large patient volume, and the classic power-tripping, bullying and hierarchy in residency.
Damian Lewis said it perfectly in this interview. "The money was incidental to the game. Playing the game was the most interesting thing, and winning the game was really what drove them... It is the sense of feeling they're right (backing) their own bet." #Billions#BobbyAxelrod
