@NotTheJoeMarino Larkin also has nmc, and is forcing himself out. Thomas I agree, but Larkin deal has baggage. I just don’t think they trade him in division.
@NotTheJoeMarino People are way too down on Norris. When on ice, he is very good. Yes injuries are a concern, but his price tag is not that high relative to new contracts. When healthy, he is a solid #1b or #2 center.
@BMaz1 Sabres window is just opening, 2nd youngest team in nhl. Lock up benson, and remain cap flexible in case a superstar shakes loose from an underperforming team in next year or 2.
@NotTheJoeMarino Norris is really good, yes he has had an injury history, but the playoff injuries a pure hustle play, and he had best expected gf% on team this year.
@NotTheJoeMarino Your scenario of Thomas replacing Tuch, Norris, and one of ostlund or helenius makes our team weaker next year. If Thomas is available for Norris plus one of kulich, mrtka, ostlund or helenius, then I’m (and I think many) are all for it. Thomas is not elite, he’s a top 15 center.
@ZCarr39 On the same team, Alex Lyon posted a better gsax/60 of .38 than UPL of .31. This clearly indicates that UPL benefited from the system and d-core. Last year James Reimer had .35 gsax/60 in 24 gms and UPL had -.16 gsax/60 in 55 gms. It’s pretty obvious UPL is easily replaceable.
@Sabrestalkv2@Sabremetrix Best trade we could make right now would be greenway, UPL and zucker for anything (even send a draft pick). That would free up almost $14m.
