This is why I'm intrigued by celluloid.
With digital sensors we are always looking at a representation of a measured reality.
With celluloid there's an actual physical original that is being created. Proof of existence.
Spiritually, I gravitate towards that.
For example.
The entire fun of Twitch isn’t just watching a video game.
It’s to watch a human you like exert a lot of effort playing a game you like.
Entertainment is not just looking at amazing images.
Entertainment is about watching human effort triumph.
Maybe it's too hopeful (probably) to think it will be Apple, or this soon... Being critical, yet optimistic is the only way I can be solution oriented tho.
I'm really rooting for Apple to present an earnest, private and secure implementation of AI for a mainstream audience. We've seen with the App Store how much influence their platform has on mainstream technology.
Each still will be limited to 10 editions, at €20 each excl. shipping.
The first stills will be shipped out from July 1st, 2024.

A year ago I lived in Tokyo, Japan as an artist in residence. Since then, I have been experimenting with different ways to share parts of my experience.
Shot on Super-8, I will be making available a set of 12x9cm Giclée Fine Art Prints.

These moments of daily life were captured on Super-8 while wandering around Tokyo with my Braun Nizo 801.
Inspired by the footage @Mar_Omin created this beautiful soundscape, resulting in this experimental edit.
