@guyrowlanduk Trial didn’t Q TPN change with a like-for-like std bag. TPN with same amount of sugar content as bag taken down. Is it a wonder why blood sugars remained low/unchanged?
The Drs hadn’t correctly managed increased glucose requirements but hypothesized insulin spiking, long after...
@Keir_Starmer Searching Qs...
Sir Keir Starmer calls for investigation into ... how accusations/allegations informed or fed into the case of HN (RIP).
Might LJ @Tirlwall_Inq Q the same, with Drs SB/RJ going to the Police with their allegations @LucyLetby?
The trials spelt out the various methods … except for the truth.
CoA only revisited the ‘facts’ presented at trials.
Will Thirlwall address the subsequent revelations or will they wrap this cover-up as not being a cover-up?
@pash22@NHSEngland@NHSProviders@nhsUHLG@HSJEditor Could be the reasoning leading to the Lucy Letby trials, with ‘clinical advice’ being broader & more ambiguous. Replace with legal advice / damage limitation within a wider management strategy

@DHSCgovuk@wesstreeting I appreciate your recognition of the nurse on International Nurses Day.
It was announced this time last year that the 'nurse' title would be protected in law within this parliamentary term. Would love to hear how this is progressing.
As International Nurses Day approaches on May 12th, I wonder if we will get an update on the progress towards the protection, in Law, of the 'Nurse' title. @DawnButlerBrent@protectnurse
@mellycatslave@DebbieKennett@hairyairey@Thirlwall_Inq@Coch ‘Trade offs’ are often used by management during cost cutting exercises, so one has to look into what NHS policies were being implemented, and how they have affected NHS services over time.
@mellycatslave@DebbieKennett@hairyairey@Thirlwall_Inq UK hosp + No, we weren't outliers. The @CoCH scenario reflects what has been adopted widely:
1.A (misuse) of the workforce, replacing of senior staff with 'cheaper options'.
2.Accepting / Ignoring risks to Patient Safety.
This has to be Thirlwall's conclusion (+ hence, dilemma).
@mellycatslave@DebbieKennett@hairyairey@Thirlwall_Inq I was required to step into a middle grade role. I was also required to accept the introduction of Nursing Associates into roles that came under the auspices of an RN.
2 'Nursing Code' disrupters: Overstepping professional boundaries. Practicing willful blindness.
Had to leave.
@marydsmyth@NeoDoc11@DrNeenaJha@iDrSunny (ANNP for >20yrs.) For me, there was tight oversight of practice initially. Role then 'expanded' by Mx. and professional boundaries were breached. I left for safety reasons.
To me, nurses @CoCH faced a similar situation: major role expansion, poor risk assessment. Mx decisions..
@mellycatslave@DebbieKennett@hairyairey@Thirlwall_Inq I handed my retirement notice towards the end of the LucyLetby trial + joined x in Aug '23 so as to connect with the wider community with regards to the case. It's still the main reason I go on to x. Her case makes me fear for nurses/healthcare workers going about their jobs.

@DebbieKennett@hairyairey Yes, today I too was wondering about the report from the @Thirlwall_Inq. It was due to be out in 'early 2026' and it is now May...
