@derek_lpz@abhornUCRedu I definitely agree! All individuals and students should be given the same opportunities in order to succeed. This means having the right resources in order to get there. @annaaacha
@mmart450@annaaacha This is an issue that needs to be resolved due to how long it’s been present. If this continues on we will one day have no more student athletes. @annaaacha
@Grace_P_Bacon@annaaacha I absolutely agree! The treatment that college athletes get for all that they do is truly unbelievable. Change needs to happen soon. @annaaacha
@Alicia_Rendon11@abhornUCRedu I agree with your statement so much! Student athletes should be able to do the same thing as any normal student does. @annaaacha
@derek_lpz@abhornUCRedu I 100% agree. Whether you were a student athlete or even just a typical individual this is something that shouldn’t be overlooked. It is so important that athletes keep their health up in order to perform their best. @annaaacha#ucr150
@elizabe03477715@abhornUCRedu You have a great point! Schools should try to do more in order to help their athletes and students in general. For the amount of efforts students put in to get into a university they should feel supported! @annaaacha
@cjime074@annaaacha I definitely agree with you! Nothing that is promised ends up being there for athletes leading them into a commitment full of empty promises. #ucr150@annaaacha
@yeesssiiii_@ElissaMMonteiro I agree with your statement so much! Student athletes need guidance and help to push them in the right direction. They are still growing mentally just like any other student is #ucr150 @annnaacha
@trinbans @KatryaLy Hi Trinnity! I definitely agree with you. I think this is even worse because the schools is TRYING to claim themselves of a moto that they truly are not following. In this day and age I think this is something that should no longer be accepted.
@ImDario27 @TA_ED50 i definitely agree with your statement. I wrote a very similar one for this week. I truly believe that college athletes deserve more than what they have been given.
@emilyVM723@abhornUCRedu I do think a big part of this issue is that there are more crowds at men’s sports events over women. This should be changed but where do we start ?
@alpxrzj@abhornUCRedu I definitely agree with sports being segregated! Most schools have certain sports that they prioritize and that can cause a diversion within the athletic community.
@Mariaplasmerc@abhornUCRedu Hi Maria! My thoughts are very similar to yours and I had said some of the same points you mentioned. What do you think we could do to encourage a more healthy lifestyle for college athletes?
@izyyybel01@TA_ED50 I had a very similar perspective as you in my post as well. I think that mental health is very low priority to universities because as their students win more games their stats go up causing more students to want to go there.
@izyyybel01@TA_ED50 I definitely agree with your statement. As these students are hustling in order to win games and do well in school they are faced with little to no money when doing so. Student athletes definitely deserve a certain salaries for all that they do.
@_alexander222@KatryaLy Hi Alex I am on the same route as you in terms of how coaches shouldn’t be trusted in terms of how they may treat their students. Some make their students feel at the absolute low after losing a game or doing bad in practice.
