@Annoyed___Bored@Truthful_ast That's not really true (Bloomberg, hello). But NYC mayors actually caring about the city, is the reason why it has remained literally the best city to live in in the entire US. Facts.
@StasisGame Except single player games are not movies, and campaign length is not measured by cutscene length.
No, a 20 minute mission with 4 minutes of non-gameplay content, is not just like a 20 minute episode.
@Annoyed___Bored@Truthful_ast Liberals? Nimbys? I'm sorry, who were the ones fearmongering about "10-minute cities"? Who are the one's that want to live outside the city and drive 4 cars and think buses and bicyciles are anti-freedom and for the poor? Yeah, check the mirror pal.
@jenny2x4 Pascal's wager doesn't even make sense, if you consider just one religion that is the mirror of christianity, and instantly you get two equally likely religions that cancel each other out.
Arguments that ask you to "pretend christianity is real for a second" are not an argument.
@MajorMinority27@Shark3ozero Tell me you've never read a book without telling me. Tell me you have low understanding of vocabulary as a vehicle for communication, without telling me.
@Qveen_Potato Despite the name, a brofist is not only for "brothers". It's just an easy way to acknowledge someone with a short "cool", "aight", or "what's up" and then moving on.
Alternatives have not been invented yet.
@ostonox It's funny that people use this to argue against veganism, especially when they are anti-capitalist.
They could easily argue that you can genuinely like animals and agree with vegan ethics, and also eat meat. But they never even get there due to them being personally offended.
@envisionedluna You can absolutely virtue signal it. You can just admit vegan ethics are objectively correct and still eat meat. You don't have to have a vegan diet to have the correct opinion on it.
I will nitpick though: You can't "virtue signal" opinions you hold sincerely.
@ColdEmpanadas@CriticalDragon1 That is just not true. "Leftism" is not idiosyncratic like fascism. There are base principles that virtually anyone called a leftist follows. This is why often leftists differentiate themselves from liberals, for example when they promote a genocidal state.
@jusdcanneberge I don't get these people. I love (some types of) meat, but that has nothing to do with the fact that vegan ethics are 100% correct.
In fact, they can argue against what she said without strawmanning and yapping against veganism, but they're too offended to even get to that point
@anarcho_cat There would be no israel without Hamas, nor Hamas without israel. One exists to justify the other, with Israel taking the role of the sugar daddy.
