The classic triad: urethritis + conjunctivitis + arthritis → Reactive Arthritis (previously called Reiter’s syndrome).
It’s an autoimmune reaction often triggered by infections like Chlamydia trachomatis (very relevant in women's health!), or GI bugs (Salmonella, Yersinia, Campylobacter, Shigella).
In women it can present as cervicitis rather than obvious urethritis, and many never show the full triad — so think ReA in young women with asymmetric oligoarthritis + recent infection + eye symptoms.
HLA-B27 positive in ~50–80% of cases. Early antibiotics (if infection still active) + NSAIDs / DMARDs if persistent.
Great teaching slide! 👏 #WomensHealth #Rheumatology #ReactiveArthritis
