Was £218m really generated for the Welsh economy? How much of this money went into the hands of chains such as Premier Inns, Wetherspoons, and McDonald's etc who squirrel money out of Wales on a massive scale. We need to nurture local businesses to fully benefit from such tourism

Westminster refused to remove a duty from Cardiff airport to 'protect' Bristol Airport which hasn't helped. Glasgow, Edinborough, and Belfast all had their duties removed. Westminster also refused to allocate £6b from HS2 monies on Welsh railways, so yes you're probably right.

I wouldn't be surprised if some eastern regions become fully submerged into Russia itself. Crimea remains hard to predict. There maybe UN forces deployed on the borders of contested regions. But the west will no longer fear Russia as it knows it has far superior weapons systems.

@ninianboy36 Russia has a veto vote on whether Ukraine will ever join NATO. The best outcome for Ukraine will be neutral state. Ukrainian territory occupied by Russia right now will become 2 or 3 new countries, and Ukraine will have to pay its debts and pay for reconstruction.

Russia Haa been shown to be weak military wise, using outdated weapons, poor battlefield tactics, and having to conscript new recruits to make up for huge losses. I believe NATO now sees China and not Russia as its greatest threat. But Russia will retain some parts of Ukraine.

@KyivIndependent After the war Russia will emerge even more powerful while Ukraine has been totally destroyed. NATO now looks much weaker and Sweden is the last country to join the Alliance. A neutral Ukraine will have to settle all its debts to Western allies and pay for reconstruction 💯.
