INFORMATION - On July 13, 2026, at approximately 4:49 a.m., the Frisco Police Department, along with the Frisco Fire Department, responded to a report of a shooting in the 12000 block of Chattanooga Drive. Upon arrival, officers located an injured person who was transported by Frisco Fire Department for a non-life-threatening injury. At this time, this appears to be an isolated incident and is still under investigation.

Frisco Athletic Center Robbery

FRISCO, TX – On June 29, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Frisco Police responded to a robbery involving a firearm that occurred in the parking lot at the Frisco Athletic Center (FAC). The robbery occurred following a pre-arranged meeting at this location with the involved parties. The persons left in a blue and white Ford Bronco before officers arrived.

Officers learned the Bronco belonged to a nearby resident and later located the Bronco at a fast-food restaurant a few miles from the FAC. Officers interviewed the persons associated with the vehicle and learned the person with the handgun was not there.

With the assistance of our detectives and school resource officers, the preliminary investigation revealed that the individuals involved were juveniles enrolled in Frisco ISD. All parties identified in the incident will be held accountable for their actions.

Both directions of 5th Street will be closed between Main and Elm streets tonight for underground utility work. The closure begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 28. The road is expected to reopen by 7 a.m. Friday, May 29.

Detour Signs Posted:
- Drivers on Main Street who want to turn south onto 5th St. should use 3rd or 6th streets to reach Elm Street and travel around the closure.
- Drivers traveling north on 5th St. should use 6th St. to access Main Street.
