@amer_icon Royal is top tier stuff, that's a super clean machine, sounds great ramping up those RPMs too.
That cycle start with the stock had me laughing, something I'd find myself doing.
@amer_icon I hear you on that race to the bottom! Glad you were in the position to make the choice. One door always seems to open just as another is closing. Whichever way it goes, I'm sure it'll work out just fine for you
@photoncmndr I agree with all of this! Acoustics from one machine to the next are going to be vastly different, even changing the guide spacing or band tension on a machine affects how things will resonate.
Optimal band saw = most rigid blade imo
New machine day, It needs a good cleaning but that's no problem. Another piece of the puzzle in place.
When I first got started machining, never would have believed one day I would own machines like this, it's a humble little shop, but still surreal to me.
@zanehengsperger Does not in fact look like you will be having a fun night, and what is the capacity of that crane?
Hope you guys get it sorted out quick!
@photoncmndr Looks good! Finding the optimal use of space and making sure that is also efficient for flow of work is tough, there's usually quite a few decent layouts for a given scenario, and always that feeling that there's a better way you're not seeing.
Picked up a new to me grinder, just set it down. Scrambling to rearrange a little bit because I am adding two more spindles next week and this layout needs a little work.
