We are a team of Specialist Nurses working across Northern Ireland, supporting potential organ donors & families during end of life decisions. #HavetheChat
Today marks 3 years since the introduction of ‘Dáithí’s Law’!
It means if organ donation is a possibility after you die, it will be considered that you agree to being an organ donor unless you choose to opt out.
Find out more or register your decision: https://t.co/gF8wEizUjd
There are over 8,200 people including over 200 children awaiting a transplant in the UK.
Today marks 3 years of Dáithí’s Law but it also marks 8 years of Dáithí waiting for his Gift of a new heart.
If you haven’t already please register your decision and share it with loved ones.
How is the opt-out law for organ donation making a difference?
Last year, Daíthí’s Law helped support over a third of the 54 proceeding organ donors here!
More patients and families who have been given the #GiftOfLife.

3 years ago we celebrated 'Dáithí's Law' with all our partners!
We have all been working since then to raise awareness of the #GiftOfLife given through organ donation, and the importance of registering and sharing decisions.

Remembering our visit to the Circle of Life Garden, Galway 💗
A place to reflect and remember the immense generosity of organ donors and their families.
For those who have received, to give thanks for their gift.
And for those still waiting for the Gift Of Life, to seek hope.🌱🌿
Tuesday 17th March is #StPatricksDay - for the over 8,000 people waiting on an organ transplant there's one thing luckier than a four-leaf clover, and that's someone who says "yes" to organ donation.

As Christmas approaches and people gather to catch up, it is the perfect time to have this potentially life-saving conversation.
Each year, many opportunities for transplants are missed because families aren't sure what to do.
