@JeffersonPerki5@foxnewspolitics This is a reductive, entirely braindead argument. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. "Period. Full stop."
@LemmyMcGregor@AkkadSecretary Deoends on what he wants to see, there are some really cool small towns, classic Americana, and Amish country on that stretch.
@jambillama@OculusKilltime I agree with being annoyed by that as well, I think that theres good evidence for it being the same guy (he's really concerned about letting him know that he can kill himself as an out)
@jambillama@OculusKilltime It was the guy who owns the shop, who is pretty clearly some kind of devil/Mephistopheles figure. The entity that was created through the wish I think could be fairly categorized as a "demon", even if it was only created for the narrow purpose of fulfilling the wish
@jdp2813@TsubakiHitei@Actually_Tina And I mean worse than any of the FF games, and worse than kh1+2, where the Disney worlds were at least incorporated in a better way. Going through the Frozen/Tangled stories beat by beat was some of the worst shit in the series. A lot of old Disney is fairytales, cooler IMO
@jdp2813@TsubakiHitei@Actually_Tina I can understand that to a degree. I don't think that ff16 at least had "cringe writing", but I get the arpg elements not being for everyone, though I do like the combat of ff7r (feels to me like a better "tales of" style combat system). I feel like kh3 writing is far worse.
@TsubakiHitei@jdp2813@Actually_Tina I think that 7 has always had it, and moreso with remake, as well as 8 (fucking with time, Laguna flashbacks, etc.) and 14 (reflections) having some of those elements. Having simple time-twist element or alien species and a crazy plot twist isnt really the same thing.
@TsubakiHitei@jdp2813@Actually_Tina While they've always had "weird" plots, I don't think that most of those examples are particularly "KH shit". Nomura has a very particular way of working in time travel, alternate versions of characters, etc. which people find confusing/annoying. I like it, but...
