Science and academia are historically not interested to communicate knowledge to "the Others". They are concerned with obtain the approval of their own peers.

Not general attitudes towards inclusivity. It's not a matter of generalised snobbish exclusion, but rather a cultural antagonism to communicate with third parties..

My opinion about space and science communication. I would not say that we talk down to non-space people, but rather that the space community, and the science community at large, cares more about the approval of its peers rather than the approval of the society at large. #GLOC2023

We didn't get exactly what we asked, but we must put it in context. We received 10.3bn in 2016, 14.5 in 2019, and now 16.9bn at #CM22 representing a 17% increase in time of war, Covid, an energy crisis. A huge success, showing Europe's understanding that SPACE OFFERS SOLUTIONS.
