One Mission: 20 Days, Four Bridges*

In an extraordinary display of dedication and engineering excellence, Project Swastik @ BRO restored connectivity over the damaged Vikramshila Setu at Bhagalpur, Bihar, in just 20 days.

Working relentlessly through extreme heat and long nights, BRO personnel successfully launched four Bailey Bridges, including a 170-ft bridge, in record time.

The swift execution ensured uninterrupted movement across the Ganga, bringing immense relief to the people of Bhagalpur and Naugachia.

These bridges were inaugurated on 07 June 2026 by Shri Er. Kumar Shailendra, Hon’ble Minister of Road Construction Department, Government of Bihar in the presence of Brig Amit Sakhre, CE Project Swastik.

BRO successfully launched a 170 Feet Bailey Bridge over the distressed span of Vikramshila Setu in Bhagalpur, Bihar, restoring critical connectivity across River Ganga after collapse of the navigational span, disrupted traffic and essential services.

Constructed in record time by Project Swastik, the bridge will provide immediate relief to the people of North & South Bihar and facilitate movement of light vehicles and essential supplies.

Two additional Bailey Bridges are also planned for early restoration of connectivity.

🚇 Power, Precision, Progress – Patna Metro Clears First Fitness Test!! 🚇
A major milestone in Bihar’s urban transit journey!
The first fitness trial run of the Patna Metro was successfully conducted today from Patna Depot to Bhoothnath Metro Station. This marks a crucial step toward operational readiness of the much-awaited metro project.
During this trial, the following key systems were tested:
✅ Rolling Stock (RS) Fitness – Assessing the metro train's performance and safety on tracks.
✅ OHE (Overhead Electrification) System – Verifying the electrical systems that power the metro.
✅ Track Fitness – Ensuring alignment, stability, and overall safety of the tracks.
This test is a precursor to dynamic trials and eventual commercial operations. The success of the first fitness trial indicates that Patna Metro is moving steadily toward its goal of providing a modern, safe, and efficient public transport system to the citizens of Patna.
