I applied for a JioFiber connection on 23 May and completed the payment on the same day. More than 2 weeks have passed, yet the connection has still not been installed.
The assigned executive is not responding to calls or texts, leaving me with no update on the status.

Ishan Kishan is a terrific cricketer who has just essayed an amazing international comeback.
He has also made almost a 100 crores just from IPL fees, not counting international duty and endorsements. This cheque is not a 100th of what he has already made and he's not the greedy sort.
So one can only assume this was literally a payout for a photo-op with him to ensure that the others in the picture got into the papers and all over social media.
Obviously, why spend one crore of government money on creating facilities or training centres or bankrolling poor athletes when you can instead use it to create a photo op by paying the one of the few athletes from your state who really does not need the money!
And that's why sport in India is where it is.

Leaders should follow the same austerity measures they expect from citizens. Some suggestions:

1 - Ministers / MPs / VIPs should stop using red beacons, pilot cars, and reduce the number of cars in their large convoys to cut down fuel usage.

2 - Ministers & politicians should use public transport/metro for at least 2–3 official movements per week.

3 - Mandatory carpooling for ministers and officers travelling to the same events/meetings

4 - Virtual meetings via video conferencing to replace at least 70% of physical meetings/conferences.

5 - All govt. offices to implement mandatory WFH (at least 2–3 days a week) to cut commuting and electricity bills.

6 - Government canteens & official functions to cut edible oil usage by 50%.

7 - Complete ban on non-essential foreign travel for all ministers, MPs, MLAs, and senior officers for 1 year (except for diplomacy or emergencies).

Hope our leaders lead by example. 🙏🏼
