It gives us immense pleasure to join @MaxwellHanrahan in congratulating our Co-founder, Dr Divya Vasudev, for winning the prestigious Maxwell/Hanrahan Awards in Field Biology! With admitted bias, we humbly submit that she is entirely deserving of this great honour.
Sudden release of water at Kota barrage in #Rajasthan has led to flooding of river islands in Chambal, drowning the eggs and newly hatched chicks of the #Endangered Indian Skimmer. An urgent appeal to @ashokgehlot51 to halt the process for ~2 weeks till they take flight.
If happiness is a butterfly, then it's the fast flying Common Blue Bottle Butterfly.

Also found that patches with canopy figs had a greater diversity of saplings of the large-seeded plants. In the lifespan of a hornbill, it is not improbable that the bird will feed on the fruits of a tree whose seed it has dispersed.
