Ogechukwu Highlights Mazi Chika Edoziem’s Broadcast, Disassociates ESN from Simon Ekpa Amid Armed Masked Men Concerns
https://t.co/OfKg95z2T6
A Biafran activist, Nwada Ogechukwu has drawn attention to a recent special national broadcast by Mazi Chika Edoziem, Head of the Directorate of State (DOS) faction of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in which the group firmly disassociates the Eastern Security Network (ESN) from Simon Ekpa and his Autopilot faction.
In the broadcast, Edoziem addressed ongoing security issues in the Southeast, the institutionalization process within IPOB, and the role of ESN, reaffirming that the security network remains under the control of the mainstream DOS structure and has no affiliation with Ekpa’s operations.
Ogechukwu described the broadcast as significant, especially amid growing reports of armed masked men circulating on social media, issuing threats and claiming links to Biafran enforcement activities. Many observers associate these “autopilot” elements with Ekpa’s group, which has been separately linked to the Biafra Liberation Army (BLA) and controversial enforcement tactics.
Ogechukwu’s commentary underscores efforts to clarify lines of authority and distance the official ESN from activities attributed to masked armed groups active on the internet and in parts of the Southeast. Watch it here https://t.co/iaWohnPtwp
IPOB Enugwu State Media Throws Full Support Behind Directorate of State https://t.co/o8QMdXGiCk
The IPOB Enugwu State Media Department has thrown its full weight behind the Directorate of State (DOS) led by Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem, reaffirming strong support for IPOB’s ongoing institutionalization agenda.
In a press statement issued on Monday, the Enugwu State Media emphasized that no meaningful movement can thrive as a “one-man enterprise.” It stressed the importance of building strong institutions, collective leadership, discipline, continuity, unity, and accountability to secure the future of the Biafran struggle.
The statement described the institutionalization process as a deliberate move to ensure IPOB is guided by its founding principles and governed by established structures rather than individuals. It called on all IPOB members to embrace this collective vision for a stronger, more organized, and resilient movement.
Biafra Agitation Framed as “Battle of Survival” by Analyst Chika Austin https://t.co/nazXooHG0b
Analyst and Biafra commentator Chika Austin has described the ongoing Biafran self-determination movement as an existential “battle of survival,” warning that states often respond to such agitations by targeting both leaders and their causes.
In his latest contribution, Austin examines the dynamics of revolutionary movements under state pressure. He argues that when authorities capture a movement’s leader, the typical outcome involves the destruction of the leader, the dismantling of the movement, or in extreme cases, both.
“When a state captures a leader of a movement, they destroy the leader or the movement, or in some cases the state destroys both the leader and the movement,” Austin stated.
Austin cited the case of environmental activist and Ogoni leader Ken Saro-Wiwa as a poignant example. Saro-Wiwa was arrested by the Nigerian military regime in the 1990s for his advocacy against environmental degradation in Ogoniland and for broader demands for minority rights. He was executed in 1995 along with eight other Ogoni activists following a trial widely criticized internationally as flawed.
According to Austin, the state not only eliminated Saro-Wiwa but also sought to cripple the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) and its mission for justice and resource control. The execution sparked global outrage, led to Nigeria’s suspension from the Commonwealth, and highlighted the lengths to which states may go to suppress agitations perceived as threats to national unity or economic interests.
Austin draws parallels between the Saro-Wiwa case and the current Biafra agitation, particularly the prolonged detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. He frames the Biafran struggle as more than a political campaign, it is an ideological fight for the survival, equity, and self-preservation of the people of Biafra WATCH IT HERE https://t.co/nazXooHG0b
Community Outrage in Owerri West as Police Detain Vigilantes Who Confronted Alleged Kidnapping Fulani Herdsmen
Tensions are rising in Obibiezena and Ihiagwa communities in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State following the arrest and detention of local vigilante members by police. The vigilantes had reportedly confronted Fulani herdsmen accused of involvement in frequent kidnappings along the axis.
Residents are questioning the action of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Agballa Police Station, demanding his immediate removal. Many in the community view the detention as misplaced priority and a failure to address the real security threat posed by alleged criminal herdsmen operating in the area.
“Why would the DPO Agballa Police Station detain Vigilante Members who confronted Fulani Herdsmen who kidnap people on a daily basis in Obibiezena & Ihiagwa axis of Owerri West?” a concerned community source asked.
The incident has sparked widespread protest, with locals insisting that the DPO “MUST GO.” Residents claim the vigilantes were actively responding to a persistent security challenge that has led to repeated abductions and fear in the farming and residential communities.
Obibiezena people have maintained a firm stance, describing the police action as protective of alleged criminals rather than the victims. They argue that instead of supporting local efforts to curb kidnapping, the police are targeting those risking their lives to defend the community.
A community representative stated that further investigations would be conducted into the circumstances surrounding the detention. “We shall carry out further investigations on this!” the source added.
The Obibiezena Ihiagwa axis has reportedly experienced heightened cases of kidnapping allegedly linked to Fulani herdsmen in recent times. Residents complain of daily threats, loss of farmlands to herders, and frequent abductions that have disrupted normal life and economic activities in the agrarian area.
Vigilante groups, often formed as a community self-help initiative in the face of perceived inadequate policing, have been at the forefront of confronting these threats. The latest detention has deepened distrust between the police and the affected communities.
As of press time, there has been no official statement from the Imo State Police Command regarding the detention of the vigilantes or the allegations against the DPO. Community leaders are mobilizing and calling for the immediate release of the detained vigilantes and a thorough probe into the DPO’s conduct.
The situation remains tense, with residents warning that failure to address their concerns could lead to further unrest or loss of confidence in law enforcement institutions in the area.
This incident adds to a growing list of security related complaints in parts of Imo State, where accusations of police complicity or misplaced priorities continue to surface in rural communities battling herder related violence and kidnapping.
Further developments are expected as community leaders press for accountability and improved security measures.

GRIP ON POWER FROM PRISON: IS NNAMDI KANU’S STYLE HELPING OR HURTING THE BIAFRA STRUGGLE?
https://t.co/UWlsNH3DNb
The image of a revolutionary leader directing a movement from behind bars is not new in history. From Nelson Mandela to Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, many have tried it.
But in the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the question is becoming louder and more urgent: Is his continued tight grip on power from prison advancing or damaging the Biafra cause?
Mazi Chika Edoziem, a Leader with a few words, He Merited His Role as Head of Directorate of State and has Earned the Trust of Faithful IPOB Family Members Worldwide. Now, it's the Duty of Fellows to Protect Him and Follow His Leadership until the time Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Unconditionally Regained His Freedom from Nigeria State.

M-BRANCH AND MAZI NNAMDI KANU’s FORGED SIGNATURE
Written by Chika Austine
I have watched and seen reactions from some of us over the decision of the DOS to decommission the office of “director of Radio Biafra” and other sister offices, I just laughed. If some of us are privy to understand the magnitude of evil that was carried out with “director said” mantra, one would have no other choice than to “buy drinks” for the members of the DOS over their prompt actions.
Their actions were carried out to save the almost ruined image of IPOB through the reckless behaviors of the siblings of MNK and their associates. Various intelligence available shows how IPOB was almost at the verge of collapse if not for the prompt action. Certain elements were almost at the point of incinerating Biafraland through the recruitment of criminals with the message “director said join us”. The action put up by the DOS, have so far destabilized them and averted bloodbath in Biafraland.
FORGED SIGNATURE OF MNK
Below is evidence of multiple letters ✉️ sent out by the siblings and lawyers of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu under the claims that “director of Radio Biafra signed it”. These memos and letters were randomly collected and subjected into forensic analyses by the M-Branch unit, what was discovered was alarming as the forged signatures of MNK could not matched. It was this discovery that the movement intelligence unit (M-BRANCH) strongly opposed the members of the DOS from obeying the slogan “director said” as facts show that MNK signatures were forged on multiple available documents.
Take a look at the below attached signatures and tell me if they actually look the same? That was how advanced in fraud the peddlers of “Onye ndu said” were. Multiple politicians were written with forged signature of “director of radio Biafra” and deals cut. The leadership of IPOB is battling with multiple complaints from the public, of swindling of the people with numerous letters with forged signature of MNK. Those holding the auto pen 🖊️ were furious by the action of the DOS not because of any love for MNK rather the fact that they have carried out alot of illicit and fraudulent acts with “this is letter from Onyendu” mantra.
There are over 87 pieces of letters intercepted by M-Branch which were distributed to politicians and Igbo businessmen and women with forged signature of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu which of course never looked the same. Funds were solicited and some were contents of threats alleging that “Onyendu personally signed it” which forensic analysissis by M-Branch has proven the signatures to be fake and forged. The leadership was advised and pressured by the available intelligence to act before these courageous criminals put the entirety of the struggle into mess.
No movement with such evidence of intelligence would watch the sacrifice of the people ruined because “Onyendu siblings were involved”. The movement is greater than any family and decision of the leadership is guided by availability of verified and sound intelligence not feelings nor hate. One MNK with multiple signatures, no be juju be that?
