Ball possession was not a part of Norway’s DNA either
Our coach Ståle Solbakken has worked very hard to make that a strength for us.
Against Brazil the possession was 66% - 34% advantage Norway
We made 681 passes
Brazil 331
🇳🇴🏴 I don't think England understand what's coming on Saturday.
English football is part of Norway's DNA. State TV has shown the English league every Saturday since 1969. Most Norwegians supported an English club before a Norwegian one. No footballing nation outside Britain lives English football the way we do. Beating England means more to us than beating Brazil ever could.
And beyond Haaland and Ødegaard, half our squad play their club football in England. Every one of them is desperate for bragging rights in their own dressing room.
England aren't facing one superstar. They're facing men with a point to prove and a nation that has waited decades for this.
Norway will knock England out of the World Cup on Saturday.

@Basiofon We in Norway has known about that since it came out Isabel was pregnant.
It's just now everyone "discovering"Haaland ,and just thought automatically that he didn't have kids or a girlfriend/samboer
I’m from Norway and they are not married. It’s more common here in Norway to be «samboere» which means you live together and are a couple, but not married. Her name is Isabel Haugseng Johansen .
They also have a son togher who was born in December of 2024.
His name is Odin, so yeah a real Viking name😉👍🇳🇴
@propsMCFC Being Norwegian last night was a crazy experience. The city center in my northern Norwegian city was packed with thousands of locals watching the game on big screens. Whole Norway was out celebrating in the streets.
Next we are going to beat the breaks off of England.
Norwegians love English Football
Loads of Norwegians travel to England to follow their favorite teams
Personally I have followed English football for over 50 years. Been fortunate to play in the Premier League and now work at the same league
A quarterfinal between our two countries is a dream come true
@nypost The end of this street is the royal palace in Norway. After the last match during the night Norwegians where marching up to the palace to “wake up the king” (bringing him the great news)😅.
As a Norwegian, it's great to see that people from all over the world like our viking row. The only ones who don't like it now are the Swedish woke left. The Norwegian woke left didn't like it either, but have finally realized that they have lost that culture war. Either that, or they have learned to keep their mouths shut!
Anyone wondering where "Ro!" comes from: In Norwegian it's the imperative mood of the verb "å ro", to row. In English it would simply be "Row!". Oh and tonight Norge (Norway) faced the somewhat mouthful "Elfenbenskysten".
@FrontRowBrian@geniebouchard The UK is not representative of Europe in this sense 😅
Even here, in Norway, every house has a split AC.
Funnily enough they're known as "heat pumps" here
BUT they are used as AC's for those 4 hot days we get during summer 😅
