More than 200 passengers on an Air India flight arrived at SFO Friday evening after being stranded in Russia for more than 24 hours. Those on board had to wait overnight at an airport in Siberia after a precautionary landing. https://t.co/gEQHDd7bOq

Note for Marcellus Investors 📝
In 4 years, Marcellus CCP has had 3 years of severe underperformance and 1 year of massive outperformance generating a meagre 1% alpha overall.
Almost all investors of past 3 years would have been much better off simply putting their monies in low cost index funds.
Even if you invested since inception, would you be willing to live through 3 consecutive years of severe underperformance for such a meagre alpha over the benchmark index?
I'm a firm proponent of long term investing, however I cannot support Marcellus's investing philosophy just for the sake of long term investing.
Investing also has a means to an end.And that end goal is generating a far superior risk adjusted return if I choose to pick an active PMS over a simple index fund giving me exposure to India's top 50 companies.
If an investor has 30 years in the market, 3 years constitutes 10% of the overall investment period. And it is definitely a good enough timeframe to have a periodic review of the portfolio. These periodic reviews offer us the chance to course correct if the investing journey is not going as planned. We cannot just put our money in a PMS and go to sleep for the next 30 years.
So, if the 3 year CAGR of the active PMS is 9.4% vs 17% of the benchmark index, that is utterly and completely unacceptable IMO and heads would roll in most fund houses with such gaping underperformance.
If I was an investor in Marcellus PMS, I would only continue if the fund management team were brave enough to conduct an honest appraisal of their performance in the past 3 years and openly admit their failings along with the willingness to course correct and tweak their excellent investment philosophy with better entry/exit valuation criteria.
I have always held great admiration for Saurabh and the Marcellus team. However, their excellent investment philosophy is slowly transitioning into a "RIGID" investment philosophy not taking into account feedback from the market.
Any investment philosophy which does not respect market feedback will struggle to generate alpha over the long term. It's time to course correct or slowly fade away. The choice is open to everyone.

Goron se India ki tarakki bardaasht nahi hoti. The hitjob on India’s market looks like a well planned conspiracy. Koshish kitni bhi kar lein but as always, Bharat aur majboot hi nikalkar ubhrega.
Divis reports lowest margin in 10y. How is even a consistent compounder. Most inconsistent results from many consistent compounder this earning season. All narratives running into the ground

This meme about @IamSanjuSamson is going around in Kerala. I have to say I agree with it. What more does he have to do to get a deserved place in India’s ODI XI? @BCCI

भारत के प्रधानमंत्री के खिलाफ एक भी अनर्गल टिप्पणी स्वीकार नहीं की जाएगी, यह बहुत अच्छे से जान लें। 🇮🇳
This isn’t a mob. It’s the security line at 4.20am in @DelhiAirport this a day after officials supposedly put in measures to ease traffic! #chockablock
