Humbled to announce the successful completion of our first flight - Mission 01 of Agnibaan SOrTeD - from our own and India’s first & only private Launchpad within SDSC-SHAR at Sriharikota. All the mission objectives of this controlled vertical ascent flight were met and performance was nominal. The vehicle was completely designed in-house and was powered by the world’s first single piece 3d printed engine and also happens to be India’s first flight with a semi cryo engine. The shocking loss of Professor Pankaj Jha at a young age is a deeply painful and personal blow for us at @JindalGlobalUNI’s @JSIAJindal. He was a giant in teaching, research, policy advocacy and institution-building in the fields of #NationalSecurity, #Intelligence, #Military, #Terrorism, #Geopolitics and #Education. He was a modest and unsung soldier who fought for India’s rise in the world through his razor sharp intellect and countless behind-the-scenes initiatives. He so ardently wished to see India becoming a leading power in international affairs. Fate intervened before that could happen…As we mourn this gentle and gutsy scholar-practitioner of security studies, I can only resolve that we will redouble our efforts to fulfill his vision of a strong and mighty India.
