Look around your extended family and you will see older women being able to live their own life - travelling, meeting friends, even eating what THEY like for the first time in their lives... Only after their husbands are gone
Sound harsh but that is the truth of patriarchy where even inside the home only the man's wishes matter
And before rushing to protest, tell me whether you know what your mother, Nani and dadi love(d) to eat - NOT what they cooked for you but what THEY loved. How many times did anyone even ask them...let alone cook it for them?
The traditions and Sanskar we boast of are built on the unacknowledged sacrifices of generations of Indian women who don't even get gratitude in return.
📢Amidst all the hustle, traveling and other things I try to find time to help writers, journalists and creators clear their writing and artistic blocks and explore the full potential of their creativity. I've found some space this Sunday, 4th August to do this again. Join, share
Most people are afraid of sharing their own thoughts online. One of the biggest mistake people think is that they have to be an "expert" to share about something.
The truth is, people don't want to learn from experts. They prefer to learn from those just a few steps ahead of them on the same path. And once you realize this, it's a huge creative unlock.
If you share what you do,how you think, how you solve problems, and who you can help, the Internet will introduce you to lots and lots of people who value you!
You might connect with like-minded individuals, but that's just a bonus.
You are not writing for others, you are writing for your own mental clarity.
Don't overthink, write , share and good things will happen.
📢 Get ready to learn from founders, CPOs and top product leaders, who are the real deal, not just a voice in the crowd 🤩

I never understand why no lit award recognises edited volumes/anthologies. These are almost always the result of a lot of hard work and genius on the part of the volume editor, and often, the publisher too. Anyway, here's our new labour of love, yes, an edited volume❤#YodaPress
@appadappajappa Was the most sensible way to ensure employment after graduation, and helped a lot of folks earn a decent living. IT boom created lot of jobs in last decade, similar large scale employment opportunities were not available in other sectors.
I took advantage of my family's social capital, my generational wealth and an education a small percentage of the population can even dream of but apart from that, I'm completely self-made.
@AbhilashaPurwar@devinamehra@SayaniBh Idk where are you from but women construction labours exist in India . They work more than 10hours a day while managing children & food at home

What a glorious moment for Indian sport. If there’s one video you must watch today, it’s this. The disbelief in the commentators voice at 2.28 mins… "Is that India") 😇
